Are the ID1300-XDS 60mm Fuel Injectors methanol compatible for an SC400 build?

Yes. Injector Dynamics rates the ID1300-XDS 60mm Fuel Injectors for all known fuels, and the 1300 was designed with alcohol fuels in mind. A boosted SC400 V8 on methanol needs far more fuel volume than on gasoline, so confirm eight injectors at 1335cc per minute cover the goal, and filter well.

Will this set fit a Lexus SC400?

Yes. Injector Dynamics lists the SC400 for this configuration, a 60mm ID1300-XDS body with an 11mm top and a Denso lower cushion, supplied as a set of eight. If the fuel rail has been replaced during a turbo or supercharger build, confirm that it still takes an 11mm top before ordering.

Is a tune required on the SC400 after installation?

Yes. The SC400 engine computer meters fuel from injector flow and offset, and the ID1300-XDS differs from the factory injector on both, along with its short pulse behavior. Injector Dynamics publishes characterization data, and your tuner should enter it before the V8 is put under load.

Does an SC400 on E85 need injectors this large?

Yes, once boost is added. E85 needs roughly a third more fuel than gasoline for the same power, and forced induction raises demand again. On a naturally aspirated SC400 the ID1300-XDS is more than necessary, but a boosted V8 on ethanol is the situation this injector was designed for.

Can a single SC400 injector be replaced on its own?

Yes, through Injector Dynamics. All eight are flow matched, so a replacement must come from Injector Dynamics to match the others. The warranty is one year from purchase against manufacturer defects, on condition that the correct fuel and proper filtration are used.

Description

Injector Dynamics ID1300-XDS 60mm Fuel Injectors with 11mm Top and Denso Lower Cushion, Set of 8

Injector Dynamics’ ID1300-XDS 60mm Fuel Injectors in this set of eight carry a blue 11mm top and a Denso lower cushion, and Injector Dynamics lists the configuration for the Lexus SC400. At 1335cc/min per injector on iso-octane, the set is sized for an SC400 V8 that has gained a turbo or supercharger and is moving to E85. On a stock SC400 it would be wasted, because fuel demand never approaches what eight of these can deliver. Stainless internals and a minimum fuel mass that suits gasoline let the car keep a smooth V8 idle on pump fuel.

Configuration

Part number 1300.60.11.D.8 describes the 1300 flow class on a 60mm body with an 11mm top, the D for Denso lower cushion and eight injectors. Turn 14 lists the top adapter on this set as blue.

Features

Flow matched as a set of 8
All-stainless internals, once unique among performance injectors
Minimum fuel mass suited to gasoline for good idle and cruise
Denso lower cushion and blue 11mm top for the SC400 V8

Specifications

Nominal flow: 1335cc/min at 3.0 bar (43.5 psi), iso-octane at 52C (125F)
Maximum differential fuel pressure: 7.0 bar (101.5 psi)
Fuel compatibility: All known fuels
Electrical connector: USCAR
Body length: 60mm
Top: 11mm adapter (blue)
Lower: Denso cushion

What’s Included

ID1300-XDS fuel injectors with blue 11mm top adapters and Denso lower cushions (x8)

Applications

Injector Dynamics lists the ID1300-XDS 60mm Fuel Injectors in this configuration for:

Lexus: SC400

Notes

Engines already wired for USCAR plug straight in; factory Denso plugs need the Injector Dynamics USCAR to Denso PnP Adapter, and EV1 or OBD2 wiring needs the matching Injector Dynamics adapter
Plan an ECU recalibration using the published Injector Dynamics characterization data
Listed by Injector Dynamics for the Lexus SC400; engines with an aftermarket fuel rail should confirm the 11mm top size first

About Injector Dynamics

Injector Dynamics is an Arizona injector specialist and an authorized technical partner of Bosch Motorsport, developing its injectors to its own specification rather than modifying production parts. It introduced slope and offset matching in 2007, and its Dual Slope Matching, developed by engineer Aaron Looft, extends matching into the short pulse widths that boosted and ethanol engines rely on. Its flow benches are built in house and calibrated against a NIST-traceable flow prover. Injector Dynamics supplied the emissions-compliant injectors for the twin-turbo Noble M600, and its injectors were fitted to the first seven-second Nissan GT-R and the first 300 mph motorcycle.

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
