Can the ID1300-XDS 60mm Fuel Injectors run methanol in a turbo Buick or Supra?

Yes. Injector Dynamics rates the ID1300-XDS 60mm Fuel Injectors for all known fuels, and designed the 1300 with alcohol in mind. Methanol demands far more volume than gasoline for the same power, so check that six injectors at 1335cc per minute meet the goal and keep fuel filtration in good order.

Will these fit a Buick Grand National?

Yes. Injector Dynamics lists the Grand National and the Turbo Regal for this six injector configuration, a 60mm body with a 14mm top and 14mm lower O-ring, along with the 1989 Turbo Trans Am. On E85 the extra flow gives a turbo Buick room for more boost.

Does a Grand National or Supra need retuning for these?

Yes. The engine computer needs the flow, offset and short pulse values of the new injectors, all of which differ from stock. Injector Dynamics publishes characterization data for the ID1300-XDS, and the tuner enters it before the six-cylinder is driven under load.

My Supra rail takes an 11mm top. Is this the right set?

No. This set has 14mm tops. Injector Dynamics offers the 1993-1998 Supra Turbo and the 1990-1996 300ZX Twin Turbo in both top sizes, and the 11mm version is a separate part with a blue top adapter on the same 60mm body and 14mm lower O-ring.

Is this set too large for a mildly modified six?

Yes, frequently. On pump gasoline with stock or slightly raised boost, the ID1050-XDS at 1065cc per minute may already be enough. The ID1300-XDS pays off once E85, methanol or a bigger turbo raises fuel demand, and its gasoline friendly minimum fuel mass keeps idle acceptable meanwhile.

Description

Injector Dynamics ID1300-XDS 60mm Fuel Injectors with 14mm Top and 14mm Lower O-Ring, Set of 6

Injector Dynamics’ ID1300-XDS 60mm Fuel Injectors in this six-piece set carry a purple 14mm top and a 14mm lower O-ring, a configuration Injector Dynamics lists for a wide spread of sixes, from the Buick Grand National and the 14mm-top 2JZ-GTE Supra to the E36 M3 and Porsche 993. Each injector is rated at 1335cc/min at 3.0 bar on iso-octane and has stainless internals. For a turbo Buick or Supra moving to E85 the flow is well matched; for a naturally aspirated BMW or Porsche it only makes sense with forced induction added.

Flow matched as a set of 6
Designed specifically for alternative fuels and compatible with all known fuels
Minimum fuel mass suited to gasoline for good idle and cruise
Purple 14mm top adapter with a 14mm lower O-ring on all six injectors

About Injector Dynamics

Injector Dynamics is an Arizona injector specialist and an authorized technical partner of Bosch Motorsport, developing its injectors to its own specification rather than modifying production parts. It introduced slope and offset matching in 2007, and its Dual Slope Matching, developed by engineer Aaron Looft, extends matching into the short pulse widths that boosted and ethanol engines rely on. Its flow benches are built in house and calibrated against a NIST-traceable flow prover. Injector Dynamics supplied the emissions-compliant injectors for the twin-turbo Noble M600, and its injectors were fitted to the first seven-second Nissan GT-R and the first 300 mph motorcycle.

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, unfortunately our website is unable to compensate dynamically for what can at times be volatile changes in the cost of items due to currency values fluctuating, changes in prices from suppliers, changes in shipping and import duties, and other factors. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. We will continue to do our best to maintain updated prices and we will always continue to offer our price match guarantees as well to ensure our prices are always the best for you. In short, prices may change without notice. It is always advised to give us a call prior to placing your order online to confirm availability and to confirm current pricing.

Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
