Can the ID1300-XDS 60mm Fuel Injectors run methanol on a 2JZ-GTE?

Yes. Injector Dynamics rates the ID1300-XDS 60mm Fuel Injectors for all known fuels and designed the 1300 for alcohol use. Methanol needs much more fuel volume than gasoline for the same power, so check that six injectors at 1335cc per minute meet the 2JZ target before committing, and filter carefully.

Is this the right set for my 2JZ-GTE Supra?

Yes, if your rail takes an 11mm injector top. Injector Dynamics lists the 1993-1998 Supra Turbo in both 11mm and 14mm top versions, and this set of six is the 11mm one with a 14mm lower O-ring. Check the top of the injectors you are removing, or the rail, before ordering.

Does a Supra or 300ZX need a tune with these?

Yes. Flow, offset and short pulse behavior on the ID1300-XDS all differ from the factory injectors, and the engine computer relies on those values. Injector Dynamics publishes the characterization data, and your tuner programs it into the calibration before the car makes boost.

Will a set of six suit a big single turbo 2JZ on E85?

Yes, up to a point. Six ID1300-XDS injectors at 1335cc per minute each give a large margin over the factory injectors on E85, and the 7.0 bar rating covers most boosted base pressures. Builds aiming well past that range often step up to the ID1750-XDS or ID2600-XDS instead.

Will a Supra or 300ZX drive poorly at low speed with injectors this large?

No, given a proper tune. The ID1300-XDS keeps a gasoline compatible minimum fuel mass, so part throttle, cruise and idle stay close to stock manners. Poor low speed behavior after an injector swap usually traces back to missing offset or short pulse data, which Injector Dynamics publishes.

Description

Injector Dynamics ID1300-XDS 60mm Fuel Injectors with 11mm Top and 14mm Lower O-Ring, Set of 6

Injector Dynamics’ ID1300-XDS 60mm Fuel Injectors are supplied six to a set here with a blue 11mm top and a 14mm lower O-ring, matching the 11mm-top listings for the 1993-1998 Toyota Supra Turbo 2JZ-GTE and the 1990-1996 Nissan 300ZX Twin Turbo. Each injector flows 1335cc/min at 3.0 bar on iso-octane, so a big single-turbo 2JZ or a built 300ZX on E85 has real headroom. Injector Dynamics designed the 1300 around alcohol fuels with stainless internals, while keeping its minimum fuel mass in gasoline territory for a clean idle. A Supra or 300ZX still on factory turbos and pump fuel does not need this flow.

Configuration

Both cars appear in Injector Dynamics’ table twice, once with an 11mm top and once with a 14mm top. This set is the 11mm version: 60mm body, blue 11mm top adapter, 14mm lower O-ring, six injectors.

Features

Flow matched as a set of 6
Designed specifically for alternative fuels and compatible with all known fuels
All-stainless internals, once unique among performance injectors
Blue 11mm top adapter for the 11mm-top Supra and 300ZX listings

Specifications

Nominal flow: 1335cc/min at 3.0 bar (43.5 psi), iso-octane at 52C (125F)
Maximum differential fuel pressure: 7.0 bar (101.5 psi)
Fuel compatibility: All known fuels
Electrical connector: USCAR
Body length: 60mm
Top: 11mm adapter (blue)
Lower: 14mm O-ring

What’s Included

ID1300-XDS fuel injectors with blue 11mm top adapters and 14mm lower O-rings (x6)

Applications

Injector Dynamics lists the ID1300-XDS 60mm Fuel Injectors in this configuration for:

Nissan 300ZX Twin Turbo: 1990-1996 | 11mm top version
Toyota Supra Turbo: 1993-1998 | 2JZ-GTE, 11mm top version

Notes

The connectors are USCAR and no adapters are included; Denso wiring takes the Injector Dynamics USCAR to Denso PnP Adapter, and EV1 and OBD2 adapters exist but are not listed here
The engine management must be recalibrated for the new flow and offset data after fitting
This is the 11mm-top version; the 14mm-top Supra and 300ZX set is a separate part with the same body and lower O-ring

About Injector Dynamics

Injector Dynamics is an Arizona injector specialist and an authorized technical partner of Bosch Motorsport, developing its injectors to its own specification rather than modifying production parts. It introduced slope and offset matching in 2007, and its Dual Slope Matching, developed by engineer Aaron Looft, extends matching into the short pulse widths that boosted and ethanol engines rely on. Its flow benches are built in house and calibrated against a NIST-traceable flow prover. Injector Dynamics supplied the emissions-compliant injectors for the twin-turbo Noble M600, and its injectors were fitted to the first seven-second Nissan GT-R and the first 300 mph motorcycle.

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. We will continue to do our best to maintain updated prices and we will always continue to offer our price match guarantees as well to ensure our prices are always the best for you. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
