Will the ID1300-XDS 60mm Fuel Injectors handle E85 on a boosted Evolution IX?

Yes. Four ID1300-XDS 60mm Fuel Injectors at 1335cc per minute on iso-octane at 3.0 bar, rated for all known fuels, suit an Evolution III to IX on E85 with a larger turbo. The 7.0 bar differential pressure limit is worth noting if a rising rate regulator lifts fuel pressure under boost.

Does this set fit an Evo X?

No. Injector Dynamics lists the Evolution III through IX with this 60mm injector, 11mm top and Denso lower cushion, while the Evolution X takes a 48mm injector with a 14mm top and a 14mm bottom adapter. The two are separate parts, so order by generation and check the injectors you are removing.

What does an Evo tuner need to set these up?

The Injector Dynamics characterization data for the ID1300-XDS, which describes flow rate, offset and short pulse width response. Loaded into the Evo calibration, it lets the engine computer fuel accurately from idle through full boost, so the tuner does not have to guess at offsets.

What is a Denso lower cushion?

It is the lower seal style used where the factory injector sat on a Denso type cushion instead of a plain O-ring. Injector Dynamics fits it to this set so the injector seats in the Evolution III to IX era Mitsubishi engines and the listed Toyota engines the way the original part did.

What warranty comes with the Evo set?

One year from purchase against manufacturer defects, provided the injectors run the correct fuel with proper filtration. The four injectors are flow matched together, so a failed injector is replaced through Injector Dynamics, which also offers a cleaning and flow test service in Arizona.

Description

Injector Dynamics ID1300-XDS 60mm Fuel Injectors with 11mm Top and Denso Lower Cushion, Set of 4

Injector Dynamics’ ID1300-XDS 60mm Fuel Injectors with a blue 11mm top and a Denso lower cushion make up this set of four, the configuration Injector Dynamics lists for the Lancer Evolution III through IX, the Eclipse GST and GSX and the Galant VR4. Those turbocharged Mitsubishis are where a 1335cc/min injector makes sense, especially on E85 with a larger turbo. The same part also covers several Toyota and Scion four-cylinders, though on a naturally aspirated Corolla or Matrix it is far more injector than the engine needs. Stainless internals and a minimum fuel mass that suits gasoline keep a street Evo civil on pump fuel.

Configuration

The D in the part number is the Denso lower cushion, which seats the lower end of the injector in place of an O-ring. The 11mm top adapter is blue on this 60mm body.

Features

Flow matched as a set of 4
All-stainless internals, once unique among performance injectors
Minimum fuel mass suited to gasoline for good idle and cruise
Denso lower cushion with a blue 11mm top on the 60mm body

Specifications

Nominal flow: 1335cc/min at 3.0 bar (43.5 psi), iso-octane at 52C (125F)
Maximum differential fuel pressure: 7.0 bar (101.5 psi)
Fuel compatibility: All known fuels
Electrical connector: USCAR
Body length: 60mm
Top: 11mm adapter (blue)
Lower: Denso cushion

What’s Included

ID1300-XDS fuel injectors with blue 11mm top adapters and Denso lower cushions (x4)

Applications

Injector Dynamics lists the ID1300-XDS 60mm Fuel Injectors in this configuration for:

Mitsubishi: Lancer Evolution III-IX, Eclipse GST and GSX, Galant VR4
Scion xB: 2001-2015
Toyota: Corolla GTS 1983-1987 4AGE; Corolla CE, S and LE 2003-2004; Matrix 2001-2003; MR-2 naturally aspirated 1990-1996 5SFE

Notes

USCAR plugs are fitted, so Denso, EV1 or OBD2 wiring needs adapters, sold separately; for Denso plugs use the Injector Dynamics USCAR to Denso PnP Adapter
Plan an ECU recalibration using the published Injector Dynamics characterization data
The Evolution X uses a different, 48mm configuration with a 14mm bottom adapter

About Injector Dynamics

Injector Dynamics is an Arizona injector specialist and an authorized technical partner of Bosch Motorsport, developing its injectors to its own specification rather than modifying production parts. It introduced slope and offset matching in 2007, and its Dual Slope Matching, developed by engineer Aaron Looft, extends matching into the short pulse widths that boosted and ethanol engines rely on. Its flow benches are built in house and calibrated against a NIST-traceable flow prover. Injector Dynamics supplied the emissions-compliant injectors for the twin-turbo Noble M600, and its injectors were fitted to the first seven-second Nissan GT-R and the first 300 mph motorcycle.

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, unfortunately our website is unable to compensate dynamically for what can at times be volatile changes in the cost of items due to currency values fluctuating, changes in prices from suppliers, changes in shipping and import duties, and other factors. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. We will continue to do our best to maintain updated prices and we will always continue to offer our price match guarantees as well to ensure our prices are always the best for you. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
