Will the ID1300-XDS 48mm Fuel Injectors handle E85 on a supercharged LS2?

Yes. Each of the eight ID1300-XDS 48mm Fuel Injectors flows 1335cc per minute on iso-octane at 3.0 bar and is rated for all known fuels, which suits a supercharged or turbocharged LS2 on E85. The pressure limit is 7.0 bar, worth checking if a boost referenced regulator raises base pressure.

Will this set fit an LS1 or LS3?

No. Injector Dynamics lists the LS1 and LS6 with a 60mm injector and 14mm lower O-ring, and the LS3, LS7, L76, L92 and L99 with a 34mm injector and 15mm lower O-ring. This 48mm set with the 15mm lower O-ring is the configuration listed for the LS2.

Can an LS2 run on its old calibration with these fitted?

No. Eight injectors at 1335cc per minute deliver far more fuel per millisecond than the factory LS2 injectors, so an unchanged calibration runs rich. The Injector Dynamics characterization data for flow and offset has to be in the LS2 tune before the car is driven.

Does the 2004 GTO take this set?

No. Injector Dynamics lists the 2005-2006 GTO, which used the LS2, for this 48mm set. The 2004 GTO used the LS1 and is listed with a 60mm injector, a 14mm top and a 14mm lower O-ring, so it needs a different configuration even though the two cars look much the same.

Are the eight LS2 injectors matched?

Yes. Injector Dynamics flow matches all eight as a set, so each bank of the LS2 receives even fueling, and single replacements come through Injector Dynamics. The warranty lasts one year from purchase against manufacturer defects, as long as the injectors run the correct fuel with proper filtration.

Description

Injector Dynamics ID1300-XDS 48mm Fuel Injectors with 14mm Top and 15mm Lower O-Ring, Set of 8

Injector Dynamics’ ID1300-XDS 48mm Fuel Injectors for the LS2 come eight to a set with a grey 14mm top and an orange 15mm lower O-ring, the combination Injector Dynamics lists for the Chevrolet LS2, the 2005-2006 Pontiac GTO and the Holden VZ Commodore and Monaro. Rated at 1335cc/min at 3.0 bar on iso-octane, the set suits an LS2 with a supercharger or turbo kit, or one being converted to E85. A gasoline LS2 with bolt-ons is nowhere near needing it. Stainless internals and a gasoline-compatible minimum fuel mass let the car drive normally on pump fuel in the meantime.

Configuration

The 15 in the part number is the 15mm lower O-ring, colored orange, which the LS2 takes in place of the 14mm seal used on many other engines. The LS1 and LS6 are listed with a 60mm injector instead, so this set is LS2 specific.

Features

Flow matched as a set of 8
Compact body shared across more than 200 applications
All-stainless internals, once unique among performance injectors
Orange 15mm lower O-rings for the LS2 injector bores

Specifications

Nominal flow: 1335cc/min at 3.0 bar (43.5 psi), iso-octane at 52C (125F)
Maximum differential fuel pressure: 7.0 bar (101.5 psi)
Fuel compatibility: All known fuels
Electrical connector: USCAR
Body length: 48mm
Top: 14mm adapter (grey)
Lower: 15mm O-ring (orange)

What’s Included

ID1300-XDS fuel injectors with grey 14mm top adapters and orange 15mm lower O-rings (x8)

Applications

Injector Dynamics lists the ID1300-XDS 48mm Fuel Injectors in this configuration for:

Chevrolet: LS2
Holden: Commodore VZ and Monaro, LS2
Pontiac GTO: 2005-2006 | LS2

Notes

Engines already wired for USCAR plug straight in; factory Denso plugs need the Injector Dynamics USCAR to Denso PnP Adapter, and EV1 or OBD2 wiring needs the matching Injector Dynamics adapter
An ECU recalibration with the Injector Dynamics characterization data is required before the engine is driven
The 15mm lower O-ring is specific to the LS2 listing; LS1 and LS6 engines use a 60mm injector with a 14mm lower O-ring

About Injector Dynamics

Injector Dynamics is an Arizona injector specialist and an authorized technical partner of Bosch Motorsport, developing its injectors to its own specification rather than modifying production parts. It introduced slope and offset matching in 2007, and its Dual Slope Matching, developed by engineer Aaron Looft, extends matching into the short pulse widths that boosted and ethanol engines rely on. Its flow benches are built in house and calibrated against a NIST-traceable flow prover. Injector Dynamics supplied the emissions-compliant injectors for the twin-turbo Noble M600, and its injectors were fitted to the first seven-second Nissan GT-R and the first 300 mph motorcycle.

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, unfortunately our website is unable to compensate dynamically for what can at times be volatile changes in the cost of items due to currency values fluctuating, changes in prices from suppliers, changes in shipping and import duties, and other factors. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. We will continue to do our best to maintain updated prices and we will always continue to offer our price match guarantees as well to ensure our prices are always the best for you. In short, prices may change without notice. It is always advised to give us a call prior to placing your order online to confirm availability and to confirm current pricing.

Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
