Can the ID1300-XDS 48mm Fuel Injectors run methanol in an SRT-8 HEMI?

Yes. Injector Dynamics rates the ID1300-XDS 48mm Fuel Injectors for all known fuels and designed the 1300 with alcohol in mind. Methanol takes far more fuel volume than gasoline for the same power, so confirm that eight injectors at 1335cc per minute cover the HEMI target, and filter the fuel well.

Will these fit my Challenger SRT-8?

Yes. Injector Dynamics lists this eight injector configuration, a 48mm body with a 14mm top and 14B bottom adapter, for the Challenger SRT-8, along with the Chrysler 300C SRT-8 and Dodge Magnum SRT-8. Confirm that your engine still carries the factory injector layout if the fuel system has been modified.

Does an SRT-8 need recalibration after this swap?

Yes. Fuel delivered per pulse changes sharply with an injector this size, and the ID1300-XDS has its own offset and short pulse behavior. Your tuner should load the Injector Dynamics characterization data into the SRT-8 calibration and finish the tune before the car sees full throttle or boost.

Is the ID1300-XDS overkill for a supercharged SRT-8 on gasoline?

Yes, on gasoline it can be. The ID1050-XDS at 1065cc per minute may already cover a supercharged SRT-8 on pump fuel, and it tolerates up to 10 bar. The ID1300-XDS earns its place when E85 or methanol enters the plan, since it was designed for alternative fuels and flows about 1335cc per minute.

Will an SRT-8 still idle well on pump gas?

Yes, once tuned correctly. The ID1300-XDS was designed around alternative fuels, but Injector Dynamics kept its minimum fuel mass compatible with gasoline, so the HEMI idles and cruises normally. Accurate offset and short pulse data in the calibration is what keeps idle steady.

Description

Injector Dynamics ID1300-XDS 48mm Fuel Injectors with 14mm Top and 14mm Bottom Adapter, Set of 8

Injector Dynamics’ ID1300-XDS 48mm Fuel Injectors arrive as a set of eight with a 14mm top and a black 14mm bottom adapter, the configuration Injector Dynamics lists for the Chrysler 300C SRT-8 and the Dodge Challenger and Magnum SRT-8. Each injector flows 1335cc/min at 3.0 bar on iso-octane, and the 1300 was conceived for ethanol and methanol, with stainless internals throughout. For an SRT-8 HEMI with a blower and E85, that is the right scale of injector. A stock SRT-8 on gasoline has no use for it.

Configuration

Part number 1300.48.14.14B.8 breaks down as the 1300 flow class, a 48mm body, a 14mm top, the 14B bottom adapter and eight injectors. Turn 14 lists the bottom adapter on this set as black. Match the length and both seals to the injectors on your engine.

Features

Flow matched as a set of 8
All-stainless internals, once unique among performance injectors
Minimum fuel mass suited to gasoline for good idle and cruise
Black 14mm bottom adapters in the configuration Injector Dynamics lists for SRT-8 V8 engines

Specifications

Nominal flow: 1335cc/min at 3.0 bar (43.5 psi), iso-octane at 52C (125F)
Maximum differential fuel pressure: 7.0 bar (101.5 psi)
Fuel compatibility: All known fuels
Electrical connector: USCAR
Body length: 48mm
Top: 14mm adapter
Lower: 14mm bottom adapter (black)

What’s Included

ID1300-XDS fuel injectors with 14mm top adapters and black 14mm bottom adapters (x8)

Applications

Injector Dynamics lists the ID1300-XDS 48mm Fuel Injectors in this configuration for:

Chrysler: 300C SRT-8
Dodge: Challenger SRT-8 and Magnum SRT-8

Notes

USCAR plugs are fitted, so Denso, EV1 or OBD2 wiring needs adapters, sold separately; for Denso plugs use the Injector Dynamics USCAR to Denso PnP Adapter
Plan an ECU recalibration using the published Injector Dynamics characterization data
Each injector wears the 14mm bottom adapter that defines this SRT-8 configuration

About Injector Dynamics

Injector Dynamics is an Arizona injector specialist and an authorized technical partner of Bosch Motorsport, developing its injectors to its own specification rather than modifying production parts. It introduced slope and offset matching in 2007, and its Dual Slope Matching, developed by engineer Aaron Looft, extends matching into the short pulse widths that boosted and ethanol engines rely on. Its flow benches are built in house and calibrated against a NIST-traceable flow prover. Injector Dynamics supplied the emissions-compliant injectors for the twin-turbo Noble M600, and its injectors were fitted to the first seven-second Nissan GT-R and the first 300 mph motorcycle.

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
