Are the ID1300-XDS 48mm Fuel Injectors suited to a flex fuel B58 or XR6T?

Yes. The ID1300-XDS 48mm Fuel Injectors were designed for alternative fuels, and their minimum fuel mass still suits gasoline, so a flex fuel inline six can swing from pump gas to E85 and keep a clean idle. The calibration needs an ethanol content sensor and the Injector Dynamics data to blend fueling.

Which Falcon XR6T does this set fit?

The FG. Injector Dynamics lists the 48mm ID1300-XDS with a 14mm top and 14mm bottom adapter for the FG Falcon XR6T, while the earlier BA and BF models take a 60mm injector with the same top and bottom hardware. Check the series of your car before ordering, because the two lengths are not interchangeable.

What will my tuner ask for when these go into a six?

The Injector Dynamics characterization data for the ID1300-XDS: flow rate, offset and short pulse width behavior. With those values in the calibration, the B58 or XR6T engine computer can meter fuel precisely at idle and part throttle as well as at peak boost, with no guessed offsets.

Does this set suit a B58 Gen 3 build?

Yes. Injector Dynamics lists this six injector configuration for the BMW B58 Gen 3. At 1335cc per minute each, it makes most sense on a B58 running E85 or substantially more boost, and the injectors arrive flow matched so fueling stays even from cylinder to cylinder on an inline six.

If one of the six injectors fails, can I buy a single replacement?

Yes, from Injector Dynamics. These six are flow matched, so a single injector has to come through Injector Dynamics to stay consistent with the rest. Coverage is one year from purchase against manufacturer defects, conditional on the correct fuel and proper filtration.

Description

Injector Dynamics ID1300-XDS 48mm Fuel Injectors with 14mm Top and 14mm Bottom Adapter, Set of 6

Injector Dynamics’ ID1300-XDS 48mm Fuel Injectors come six to a set here, with a grey 14mm top and a 14mm bottom adapter, the configuration Injector Dynamics lists for the BMW B58 Gen 3 and the FG Ford Falcon XR6T. Both are turbocharged inline sixes. Each ID1300-XDS flows 1335cc/min at 3.0 bar on iso-octane. A lightly tuned six on pump gas will not need this much flow; the set pays off once ethanol or a bigger turbo is part of the plan.

Configuration

This is the 48mm body with a 14mm top and the 14B bottom adapter, six injectors to the set. The FG Falcon XR6T is listed here; the earlier BA and BF XR6T take the 60mm version, so confirm your Falcon series before ordering.

Features

Flow matched as a set of 6
Designed specifically for alternative fuels and compatible with all known fuels
Compact body shared across more than 200 applications
Grey 14mm top adapter and 14mm bottom adapter as Injector Dynamics lists for the B58 Gen 3 and FG XR6T

Specifications

Nominal flow: 1335cc/min at 3.0 bar (43.5 psi), iso-octane at 52C (125F)
Maximum differential fuel pressure: 7.0 bar (101.5 psi)
Fuel compatibility: All known fuels
Electrical connector: USCAR
Body length: 48mm
Top: 14mm adapter (grey)
Lower: 14mm bottom adapter

What’s Included

ID1300-XDS fuel injectors with grey 14mm top adapters and 14mm bottom adapters (x6)

Applications

Injector Dynamics lists the ID1300-XDS 48mm Fuel Injectors in this configuration for:

BMW: B58 Gen 3
Ford Falcon XR6T: FG

Notes

Engines already wired for USCAR plug straight in; factory Denso plugs need the Injector Dynamics USCAR to Denso PnP Adapter, and EV1 or OBD2 wiring needs the matching Injector Dynamics adapter
The engine management must be recalibrated for the new flow and offset data after fitting
This set uses the 48mm body for the FG Falcon XR6T; the BA and BF Falcon XR6T are listed with the 60mm version

About Injector Dynamics

Injector Dynamics is an Arizona injector specialist and an authorized technical partner of Bosch Motorsport, developing its injectors to its own specification rather than modifying production parts. It introduced slope and offset matching in 2007, and its Dual Slope Matching, developed by engineer Aaron Looft, extends matching into the short pulse widths that boosted and ethanol engines rely on. Its flow benches are built in house and calibrated against a NIST-traceable flow prover. Injector Dynamics supplied the emissions-compliant injectors for the twin-turbo Noble M600, and its injectors were fitted to the first seven-second Nissan GT-R and the first 300 mph motorcycle.

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. We will continue to do our best to maintain updated prices and we will always continue to offer our price match guarantees as well to ensure our prices are always the best for you. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
