Which Focus RS generations does Injector Dynamics list?

Injector Dynamics writes the fitment for this five injector set as Focus RS Mk II to Mk IV. Because those generations differ in engine, count your injectors and check the existing body length and seals against this 48mm set with a 14mm top and 14mm lower O-ring before ordering.

Is a set of five sold as matched injectors?

Yes. Injector Dynamics flow matches all five as one group, so each cylinder receives the same fuel for a given pulse. A failed injector inside the one year warranty, which requires correct fuel and proper filtration, is replaced by Injector Dynamics so the match is kept, and its Arizona facility offers cleaning and flow testing.

Will the ID1300-XDS 48mm Fuel Injectors suit an E85 Focus RS?

Yes. Injector Dynamics designed the ID1300-XDS 48mm Fuel Injectors around alternative fuels and rates them for every known fuel. A Focus RS with a larger turbo on E85 needs roughly a third more fuel volume than on gasoline, so the fuel pump and calibration have to be planned with the injectors.

Does the Focus RS need tuning after the swap?

Yes. The engine management needs the flow, offset and short pulse data for the ID1300-XDS, published by Injector Dynamics, before the car is driven. Since a Focus RS fitted with these injectors usually has a turbo or fuel upgrade too, the tuner can complete the whole calibration in one session.

What do I need to connect these to the Ford wiring?

Check the injector plug on your engine first. These injectors use USCAR connectors, which connect directly to USCAR wiring. If the car uses Denso, EV1 or OBD2 style plugs, Injector Dynamics plug and play adapters are needed, sold separately, with the Denso version linked in the notes on this page.

Description

Injector Dynamics ID1300-XDS 48mm Fuel Injectors with 14mm Top and 14mm Lower O-Ring, Set of 5

Injector Dynamics’ ID1300-XDS 48mm Fuel Injectors make a set of five with a grey 14mm top adapter and a 14mm lower O-ring, the five-injector configuration Injector Dynamics lists for the Ford Focus RS. Each injector flows 1335cc/min, enough to support a larger turbocharger or an E85 conversion. The ID1300-XDS was designed around alternative fuels while keeping a minimum fuel mass that suits gasoline, so the car still idles properly on pump fuel. A Focus RS at stock boost has no need for it, and a gasoline car with a modest tune will leave most of the flow unused.

Configuration

Five injectors, a fitted grey 14mm top adapter and a 14mm lower O-ring on the 48mm body make up this set. Injector Dynamics writes the Focus RS fitment as Mk II to Mk IV, so count and compare the existing injectors before ordering.

Features

Compatible with all known fuels, with a design aimed at ethanol and methanol
Gasoline-compatible minimum fuel mass, so part-throttle fueling stays controllable
Flow matched as a set of five, with characterization data for the calibration

Specifications

Nominal flow: 1335cc/min at 3.0 bar (43.5 psi), iso-octane at 52C (125F)
Maximum differential fuel pressure: 7.0 bar (101.5 psi)
Fuel compatibility: All known fuels; designed specifically for alternative fuels
Electrical connector: USCAR
Body length: 48mm
Top: 14mm adapter (grey)
Lower: 14mm O-ring

What’s Included

ID1300-XDS fuel injectors with grey 14mm top adapters fitted (x5)

Applications

Injector Dynamics lists the ID1300-XDS 48mm Fuel Injectors in this configuration for:

Ford Focus RS: Mk II to Mk IV

Notes

Each injector carries a USCAR connector and no adapters are included; Denso, EV1 or Honda OBD2 wiring needs plug-and-play adapters, such as the Injector Dynamics USCAR to Denso PnP Adapter for Denso plugs
Fueling must be recalibrated for these injectors using the published Injector Dynamics characterization data
Count the injectors on your engine before ordering, since this set contains five

About Injector Dynamics

Injector Dynamics is an Arizona injector specialist and an authorized technical partner of Bosch Motorsport, developing its injectors to its own specification rather than modifying production parts. It introduced slope and offset matching in 2007, and its Dual Slope Matching, developed by engineer Aaron Looft, extends matching into the short pulse widths that boosted and ethanol engines rely on. Its flow benches are built in house and calibrated against a NIST-traceable flow prover. Injector Dynamics supplied the emissions-compliant injectors for the twin-turbo Noble M600, and its injectors were fitted to the first seven-second Nissan GT-R and the first 300 mph motorcycle.

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
