Can the ID1300-XDS 48mm Fuel Injectors run E85 in a Genesis 2.0T?

Yes. The ID1300-XDS 48mm Fuel Injectors are rated for all known fuels, and Injector Dynamics designed them around alternative fuels with stainless internals. A Genesis 2.0T on E85 needs roughly a third more fuel than on gasoline for the same power, so the pump and calibration must be sized for ethanol.

Why is a GT-R spacer part of a Hyundai injector set?

The R35 code names the lower spacer Injector Dynamics also uses on its Nissan GT-R sets. Paired with the 14mm lower O-ring, it is the lower configuration Injector Dynamics lists for the 2009-2012 Genesis 2.0T, so the spacer comes with this set and stays on the injectors.

What data does the Genesis tune need for these injectors?

Injector Dynamics characterization data for the ID1300-XDS, covering flow, offset and short pulse width behavior. With those values entered, the 2.0T engine computer meters fuel accurately at idle and cruise as well as under full boost, without the tuner having to estimate offsets.

Will this set fit a 2013 or 2014 Genesis 2.0T?

No. Injector Dynamics lists the 2013-2014 Genesis 2.0T with a 60mm injector, a 14mm top and a 14mm lower O-ring. This 48mm set with the R35 lower spacer is listed for the 2009-2012 cars, so check the model year before you order.

Which plug do these injectors use on a Genesis 2.0T?

USCAR. If the Genesis wiring already ends in USCAR plugs, the injectors connect directly. Denso, EV1 or Honda OBD2 style plugs need an Injector Dynamics plug and play adapter that fits between the wiring and injector, and the USCAR to Denso adapter is sold separately.

Description

Injector Dynamics ID1300-XDS 48mm Fuel Injectors with 14mm Top and R35 Lower Spacer, Set of 4

Injector Dynamics’ ID1300-XDS 48mm Fuel Injectors in this four-piece set use a grey 14mm top and a 14mm lower O-ring on the R35 lower spacer, the configuration Injector Dynamics lists for the 2009-2012 Hyundai Genesis 2.0T. Each injector flows 1335cc/min at 3.0 bar on iso-octane and is rated for every known fuel, which suits a 2.0T running a larger turbo on E85. The 1300 keeps a minimum fuel mass that works with gasoline, so idle stays manageable on pump fuel. For a 2.0T on its factory turbo and gasoline, a smaller injector is the sensible pick.

Configuration

R35 in the part number refers to the GT-R lower spacer fitted with the 14mm lower O-ring. The 2013-2014 Genesis 2.0T is listed with a 60mm injector instead, so this set is for the earlier cars only.

Features

Flow matched as a set of 4
Designed specifically for alternative fuels and compatible with all known fuels
Minimum fuel mass suited to gasoline for good idle and cruise
14mm lower O-ring with the R35 lower spacer, as listed for the 2009-2012 Genesis 2.0T

Specifications

Nominal flow: 1335cc/min at 3.0 bar (43.5 psi), iso-octane at 52C (125F)
Maximum differential fuel pressure: 7.0 bar (101.5 psi)
Fuel compatibility: All known fuels
Electrical connector: USCAR
Body length: 48mm
Top: 14mm adapter (grey)
Lower: 14mm O-ring with R35 lower spacer

What’s Included

ID1300-XDS fuel injectors with grey 14mm top adapters and R35 lower spacers with 14mm lower O-rings (x4)

Applications

Injector Dynamics lists the ID1300-XDS 48mm Fuel Injectors in this configuration for:

Hyundai Genesis: 2009-2012 | 2.0T

Notes

Each injector carries the R35 lower spacer; the 2013-2014 Genesis 2.0T is listed with a different, 60mm configuration
USCAR plugs are fitted, so Denso, EV1 or OBD2 wiring needs adapters, sold separately; for Denso plugs use the Injector Dynamics USCAR to Denso PnP Adapter
The engine management must be recalibrated for the new flow and offset data after fitting

About Injector Dynamics

Injector Dynamics is an Arizona injector specialist and an authorized technical partner of Bosch Motorsport, developing its injectors to its own specification rather than modifying production parts. It introduced slope and offset matching in 2007, and its Dual Slope Matching, developed by engineer Aaron Looft, extends matching into the short pulse widths that boosted and ethanol engines rely on. Its flow benches are built in house and calibrated against a NIST-traceable flow prover. Injector Dynamics supplied the emissions-compliant injectors for the twin-turbo Noble M600, and its injectors were fitted to the first seven-second Nissan GT-R and the first 300 mph motorcycle.

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, unfortunately our website is unable to compensate dynamically for what can at times be volatile changes in the cost of items due to currency values fluctuating, changes in prices from suppliers, changes in shipping and import duties, and other factors. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. We will continue to do our best to maintain updated prices and we will always continue to offer our price match guarantees as well to ensure our prices are always the best for you. In short, prices may change without notice. It is always advised to give us a call prior to placing your order online to confirm availability and to confirm current pricing.

Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
