Will this set fit a 2006-2009 S2000?

No. Injector Dynamics lists the 2006 to 2009 S2000 with a 48mm injector that has a 14mm top and a 14mm lower O-ring. This set, with the 11mm top and S2000 lower configuration, is listed for the 2000 to 2005 car only. Check the model year and the existing injectors before ordering.

What does the S2000 lower configuration mean?

It is the lower seal arrangement Injector Dynamics specifies for the early S2000, shown as F20 in the part number, so the injector seats and seals in that manifold. The same lower configuration also appears on the six injector sets listed for several V6 Accord, Odyssey, CL and TL models.

Are the ID1300-XDS 48mm Fuel Injectors too big for a supercharged S2000 on pump gas?

No, not when the tune is right. The ID1300-XDS 48mm Fuel Injectors keep a minimum fuel mass compatible with gasoline, so idle and cruise stay clean. The 1335cc per minute rating leaves room for more boost or a later move to E85, which needs roughly a third more fuel volume than gasoline.

Does the S2000 need a full retune for these?

Yes. The engine management needs the Injector Dynamics characterization data for the ID1300-XDS, covering flow, offset and short pulse behavior, before the car is driven. On a boosted S2000 the injector change is usually done alongside the boost tune, so both can be calibrated together in one session.

Will these plug into my factory injector wiring?

Only if the wiring already uses USCAR connectors. Otherwise, Injector Dynamics plug and play adapters bridge the USCAR plug to Denso, EV1 or Honda OBD2 connectors without cutting wires. They are sold separately, so check your connector type and order the adapters with the injectors.

Description

Injector Dynamics ID1300-XDS 48mm Fuel Injectors with 11mm Top and S2000 Lower Configuration, Set of 4

Injector Dynamics’ ID1300-XDS 48mm Fuel Injectors in this set of four carry a red 11mm top and the S2000 lower configuration, the version Injector Dynamics lists for the 2000-2005 Honda S2000. At 1335cc/min each they cover a supercharged or turbocharged early S2000, and the alternative-fuel design suits an owner moving to E85. The minimum fuel mass is compatible with gasoline, so a high-revving street car can idle and cruise normally on pump fuel once it is tuned. A naturally aspirated S2000 does not need injectors this large.

Configuration

The F20 code in the part number marks the S2000 lower configuration, matched to the early car’s injector bores. The 2006-2009 S2000 is listed with a different set, using a 14mm top and a 14mm lower O-ring.

Features

Compatible with all known fuels, with a design aimed at ethanol and methanol
Gasoline-compatible minimum fuel mass, so part-throttle fueling stays controllable
Stainless internals throughout; at launch it was the only performance injector built that way
Flow matched as a set of four, with characterization data for the calibration

Specifications

Nominal flow: 1335cc/min at 3.0 bar (43.5 psi), iso-octane at 52C (125F)
Maximum differential fuel pressure: 7.0 bar (101.5 psi)
Fuel compatibility: All known fuels; designed specifically for alternative fuels
Electrical connector: USCAR
Body length: 48mm
Top: 11mm (red)
Lower: S2000 lower configuration

What’s Included

ID1300-XDS fuel injectors with red 11mm tops and the S2000 lower configuration (x4)

Applications

Injector Dynamics lists the ID1300-XDS 48mm Fuel Injectors in this configuration for:

Honda S2000: 2000-2005

Notes

USCAR connectors are fitted, so EV1, OBD2 or Denso wiring needs adapters sold separately; for Denso plugs see the Injector Dynamics USCAR to Denso PnP Adapter
Plan on a tune, since the ECU needs the Injector Dynamics flow, offset and short pulse data loaded after installation
Listed for the 2000-2005 S2000 only; the 2006-2009 car uses the 48mm set with a 14mm top and 14mm lower O-ring

About Injector Dynamics

Injector Dynamics is an Arizona injector specialist and an authorized technical partner of Bosch Motorsport, developing its injectors to its own specification rather than modifying production parts. It introduced slope and offset matching in 2007, and its Dual Slope Matching, developed by engineer Aaron Looft, extends matching into the short pulse widths that boosted and ethanol engines rely on. Its flow benches are built in house and calibrated against a NIST-traceable flow prover. Injector Dynamics supplied the emissions-compliant injectors for the twin-turbo Noble M600, and its injectors were fitted to the first seven-second Nissan GT-R and the first 300 mph motorcycle.

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, unfortunately our website is unable to compensate dynamically for what can at times be volatile changes in the cost of items due to currency values fluctuating, changes in prices from suppliers, changes in shipping and import duties, and other factors. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. We will continue to do our best to maintain updated prices and we will always continue to offer our price match guarantees as well to ensure our prices are always the best for you. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
