Does this set fit my EA888 Gen 3?

Yes, if the engine is the EA888 Gen 3. Injector Dynamics lists this 34mm set with 14mm top and lower O-rings for the Gen 3 engine in both Audi and Volkswagen models. Earlier EA888 generations are not on its list for this configuration, so confirm the generation before ordering.

Can the ID1300-XDS 34mm Fuel Injectors fuel an EA888 on E85?

Yes. The ID1300-XDS 34mm Fuel Injectors were designed for alternative fuels and run on all known fuels. E85 needs roughly a third more volume than gasoline for the same power, so the extra capacity is useful on a big turbo build, provided the fuel pump keeps pace and the calibration is built for the blend.

Why choose the ID1300-XDS over a smaller injector?

Choose it when ethanol and a larger turbo are part of the plan. The ID1300-XDS flows about 1335cc per minute and was designed for alternative fuels, while keeping a minimum fuel mass that idles well on gasoline. For a gasoline build that will stay near stock power, a smaller injector leaves less unused range.

Can a factory ECU run these injectors?

Often yes, if the calibration software lets the tuner enter injector flow, offset and short pulse data. Injector Dynamics publishes characterization data for the ID1300-XDS for that purpose. Whether your platform supports it depends on the tuning tools available, so confirm with your tuner first.

Who handles warranty claims?

Injector Dynamics. Its warranty runs for one year from purchase and covers manufacturer defects, provided the injectors have run the correct fuel with proper filtration. It supplies any single replacement to preserve the flow match, and offers cleaning, inspection and flow testing in Arizona.

Description

Injector Dynamics ID1300-XDS 34mm Fuel Injectors with 14mm Top and Lower O-Rings, Set of 4

Injector Dynamics’ ID1300-XDS 34mm Fuel Injectors in a set of four are configured with 14mm top and lower O-rings, the layout Injector Dynamics lists for the Audi and Volkswagen EA888 Gen 3 four-cylinder. At 1335cc/min each they target big-turbo EA888 builds and owners running ethanol blends, where fuel demand climbs past what the factory system supplies. The 1300 keeps a minimum fuel mass that is compatible with gasoline, so it still idles and cruises well on pump fuel. A car on the stock turbo with a mild tune will not need it.

Configuration

The 34mm body carries no top adapter, so its 14mm top O-ring seals directly, and a 14mm O-ring seals the lower end. Injector Dynamics uses this same short body for several other engines, so match the length and both seals to your fuel system before ordering.

Features

Rated for every known fuel and designed specifically around alternative fuels such as E85 and methanol
All-stainless internal construction, a first among performance injectors when the 1300 was introduced
Compact body that Injector Dynamics configures for more than 200 applications
Flow matched as a set of four, with characterization data for the calibration

Specifications

Nominal flow: 1335cc/min at 3.0 bar (43.5 psi), iso-octane at 52C (125F)
Maximum differential fuel pressure: 7.0 bar (101.5 psi)
Fuel compatibility: All known fuels; designed specifically for alternative fuels
Electrical connector: USCAR
Body length: 34mm
Top: 14mm O-ring, no adapter
Lower: 14mm O-ring

What’s Included

ID1300-XDS fuel injectors with 14mm top and lower O-rings (x4)

Applications

Injector Dynamics lists the ID1300-XDS 34mm Fuel Injectors in this configuration for:

Audi: EA888 Gen 3
Volkswagen: EA888 Gen 3

Notes

Plug-and-play adapters are not part of this set; USCAR wiring connects directly, and Denso wiring takes the Injector Dynamics USCAR to Denso PnP Adapter
An ECU recalibration is required after fitting, using the Injector Dynamics characterization data

About Injector Dynamics

Injector Dynamics is an Arizona injector specialist and an authorized technical partner of Bosch Motorsport, developing its injectors to its own specification rather than modifying production parts. It introduced slope and offset matching in 2007, and its Dual Slope Matching, developed by engineer Aaron Looft, extends matching into the short pulse widths that boosted and ethanol engines rely on. Its flow benches are built in house and calibrated against a NIST-traceable flow prover. Injector Dynamics supplied the emissions-compliant injectors for the twin-turbo Noble M600, and its injectors were fitted to the first seven-second Nissan GT-R and the first 300 mph motorcycle.

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. We will continue to do our best to maintain updated prices and we will always continue to offer our price match guarantees as well to ensure our prices are always the best for you. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
