Do the ID1050-XDS 60mm Fuel Injectors fit a supercharged Coyote?

For most kits, yes. Injector Dynamics lists this set for the 2011 and later Mustang GT and F-150 5.0. Whipple supercharged Coyotes are listed separately with a blue bottom adapter, part number 1050.60.14.14W.8, so check which intake your kit uses.

Is this set enough for a Coyote on E85?

For a supercharged Coyote on E85, eight ID1050-XDS 60mm Fuel Injectors at 1065cc per minute cover a moderate power target. Ethanol needs about a third more fuel than gasoline, so high boost E85 builds often step up to the ID1300-XDS. Size the set to your fuel and power goal.

Does a Coyote need a tune for these injectors?

Yes. The Coyote PCM must be recalibrated for eight 1065cc per minute injectors, normally as part of the supercharger or E85 tune. Your tuner enters the Injector Dynamics flow, offset and short pulse data for the ID1050-XDS so idle and boost fueling stay accurate.

Are these injectors plug and play on a 2011 or newer Mustang GT?

Yes, mechanically. The 14mm bottom adapter seats them in the factory Coyote lower bore, which is why Injector Dynamics lists them for the car. Electrically they use USCAR connectors, so check the plug on one of your current injectors, and if it is not USCAR, add the matching Injector Dynamics adapter.

What warranty comes with the Coyote set?

Injector Dynamics covers manufacturer defects for one year from purchase, as long as the eight injectors run the correct fuel with proper filtration. Since they are flow matched, a single replacement is supplied through Injector Dynamics, which also offers cleaning, inspection and flow testing at its Arizona facility.

Description

Injector Dynamics ID1050-XDS 60mm Fuel Injectors with 14mm Top and 14mm Bottom Adapter, Set of 8

Injector Dynamics’ ID1050-XDS 60mm Fuel Injectors with 14mm bottom adapters are the eight-piece set for the 2011+ Ford Mustang GT, including the GT350, the 2011+ F-150 5.0 and the 2011-2014 SVT Raptor, with the 2020+ Mustang GT500 also on the list. Coyote owners adding a supercharger or switching to E85 find the factory injectors out of capacity quickly, and 1065cc/min per cylinder answers that for most street builds. On a bolt-on car without boost, the factory injectors are still adequate.

Configuration

The bottom adapter lets the compact 60mm body seat in the Coyote lower bore, so the injectors install in the factory locations. Supercharger kits from Whipple use their own blue bottom adapter, sold as 1050.60.14.14W.8.

Features

Compact body shared across more than 200 applications in its lengths and seal options
Characterization data published by Injector Dynamics for an accurate calibration
Developed with Bosch Motorsport and built to Injector Dynamics specification instead of being adapted from a production part
14mm bottom adapter fitted for the Coyote intake lower bore

Specifications

Nominal flow: 1065cc/min at 3.0 bar (43.5 psi), gasoline at 52C (125F)
Maximum differential fuel pressure: 10.0 bar (145 psi)
Fuel compatibility: All known fuels
Electrical connector: USCAR
Body length: 60mm
Top: 14mm adapter
Lower: 14mm bottom adapter

What’s Included

ID1050-XDS fuel injectors with 14mm top adapters and 14mm bottom adapters fitted (x8)

Applications

Injector Dynamics lists the ID1050-XDS 60mm Fuel Injectors in this configuration for:

Ford Mustang GT: 2011+ | including GT350
Ford Mustang GT500: 2020+
Ford SVT Raptor: 2011-2014

Notes

USCAR connectors are fitted; Denso, EV1 or OBD2 engine wiring needs plug-and-play adapters, sold separately; for Denso plugs use the Injector Dynamics USCAR to Denso PnP Adapter
Whipple-supercharged Coyote engines take the 14W blue bottom adapter version instead
An ECU recalibration is required after fitting, using the Injector Dynamics characterization data

About Injector Dynamics

Injector Dynamics is an Arizona injector specialist and an authorized technical partner of Bosch Motorsport, developing its injectors to its own specification rather than modifying production parts. It introduced slope and offset matching in 2007, and its Dual Slope Matching, developed by engineer Aaron Looft, extends matching into the short pulse widths that boosted and ethanol engines rely on. Its flow benches are built in house and calibrated against a NIST-traceable flow prover. Injector Dynamics supplied the emissions-compliant injectors for the twin-turbo Noble M600, and its injectors were fitted to the first seven-second Nissan GT-R and the first 300 mph motorcycle.

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, unfortunately our website is unable to compensate dynamically for what can at times be volatile changes in the cost of items due to currency values fluctuating, changes in prices from suppliers, changes in shipping and import duties, and other factors. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. We will continue to do our best to maintain updated prices and we will always continue to offer our price match guarantees as well to ensure our prices are always the best for you. In short, prices may change without notice. It is always advised to give us a call prior to placing your order online to confirm availability and to confirm current pricing.

Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
