Are the ID1050-XDS 60mm Fuel Injectors listed for the SC400?

Yes. Injector Dynamics lists this eight injector set, with 11mm tops and Denso lower cushions, for the Lexus SC400. Mechanically it replaces the factory injectors in place; electrically it uses USCAR connectors, so check the plugs on your car before ordering.

Do I need adapters on an SC400?

If the SC400 still has its original Denso style injector plugs, yes. The ID1050-XDS 60mm Fuel Injectors have USCAR connectors, and the Injector Dynamics USCAR to Denso adapter, sold separately, joins the two without cutting the wiring. Cars already converted to USCAR plugs connect directly.

Do I need to retune my SC400 after installing these?

Yes. The SC400 engine management must be recalibrated for eight 1065cc per minute injectors, or it will run very rich. A tuner uses the Injector Dynamics flow, offset and short pulse data for the ID1050-XDS, which is normally done alongside the supercharger or turbo calibration.

How does the ID1050-XDS compare with the ID1750-XDS for a boosted V8?

The ID1750-XDS flows about 1728cc per minute and is rated to 7 bar, while the ID1050-XDS flows 1065cc per minute with a 10 bar rating. For a boosted SC400, the 1050 makes sense whenever eight of them cover the power target; the larger class is for builds beyond that.

If one SC400 injector fails, can I replace just that one?

Yes, through Injector Dynamics. The eight injectors are flow matched, so a single replacement must come from Injector Dynamics to keep the set balanced. Warranty cover lasts one year from purchase against manufacturer defects, conditional on correct fuel and proper filtration.

Description

Injector Dynamics ID1050-XDS 60mm Fuel Injectors with 11mm Top and Denso Lower Cushion, Set of 8

Injector Dynamics’ ID1050-XDS 60mm Fuel Injectors in this eight-piece configuration are the set Injector Dynamics lists for the Lexus SC400, with blue 11mm top adapters and Denso lower cushions matching the factory fuel system. The SC400 is a popular base for supercharger and turbo kits, and those builds soon need more fuel than the original injectors deliver. At 1065cc/min each, eight of these leave a wide margin on gasoline and real room for E85. An unmodified SC400 gains nothing from them, so they belong with the boost kit.

Configuration

The 11mm top suits the SC400 fuel rail and the Denso lower cushion matches the original manifold seal, so the injectors drop into the factory locations. Only the connectors differ, which is covered in the Notes.

Features

Developed with Bosch Motorsport and built to Injector Dynamics specification instead of being adapted from a production part
Corrosion-resistant internals rated for gasoline, ethanol, methanol and every other known fuel
Stronger magnetic circuit that keeps operation stable up to 10 bar differential pressure
Eight injectors flow matched for V8 cylinder-to-cylinder balance

Specifications

Nominal flow: 1065cc/min at 3.0 bar (43.5 psi), gasoline at 52C (125F)
Maximum differential fuel pressure: 10.0 bar (145 psi)
Fuel compatibility: All known fuels
Electrical connector: USCAR
Body length: 60mm
Top: 11mm adapter (blue)
Lower: Denso cushion

What’s Included

ID1050-XDS fuel injectors with 11mm top adapters and Denso lower cushions fitted (x8)

Applications

Injector Dynamics lists the ID1050-XDS 60mm Fuel Injectors in this configuration for:

Lexus SC400

Notes

Each injector has a USCAR connector, so a car with Denso, EV1 or OBD2 injector plugs needs adapters, which are not included; the Denso version is the Injector Dynamics USCAR to Denso PnP Adapter
Fits the factory SC400 rail and manifold seats; connector adapters depend on the wiring in the car
Plan on a recalibration after installation; the tuner needs the Injector Dynamics flow, offset and short pulse data

About Injector Dynamics

Injector Dynamics is an Arizona injector specialist and an authorized technical partner of Bosch Motorsport, developing its injectors to its own specification rather than modifying production parts. It introduced slope and offset matching in 2007, and its Dual Slope Matching, developed by engineer Aaron Looft, extends matching into the short pulse widths that boosted and ethanol engines rely on. Its flow benches are built in house and calibrated against a NIST-traceable flow prover. Injector Dynamics supplied the emissions-compliant injectors for the twin-turbo Noble M600, and its injectors were fitted to the first seven-second Nissan GT-R and the first 300 mph motorcycle.

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. We will continue to do our best to maintain updated prices and we will always continue to offer our price match guarantees as well to ensure our prices are always the best for you. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
