Will this set fit a 370Z or G37?

No. Injector Dynamics lists the 370Z and G37 for a 48mm set with the R35 lower spacer, a different lower configuration. This set, with a plain 14mm lower O-ring, is listed for the 350Z and G35 along with the E46 M3, Nissan Patrol and 996 and 997.1 twin turbo.

Does it fit a non turbo Porsche 996?

No. Injector Dynamics lists the non turbo 996 and 997.1 for a 60mm injector. This 48mm set is listed for the twin turbo 996 and 997.1, so check which engine your car has before ordering, since the two take different injector lengths.

Can the ID1050-XDS 48mm Fuel Injectors run E85 on a boosted 350Z?

Yes. The ID1050-XDS 48mm Fuel Injectors are rated for all known fuels, E85 included, and their corrosion resistant internals are built for long service on ethanol. A boosted VQ on E85 needs more fuel volume than on gasoline, so pump capacity and calibration need to be sized for it.

How does my tuner set these injectors up on a boosted VQ?

By entering the Injector Dynamics characterization data for the ID1050-XDS into the engine management. That data covers flow rate, offset at different voltages and the short pulse region, and loading it is what lets a boosted VQ idle cleanly on injectors larger than stock. Plan the tune for the same visit as the installation.

Are the 48mm injectors in this set matched to each other?

Yes. Injector Dynamics flow matches all six 48mm injectors as a group, which is why a single replacement is arranged through the company and not pulled from shelf stock. The warranty lasts one year from purchase against manufacturer defects, as long as the correct fuel and proper filtration are used, and an Arizona service can clean, inspect and flow test the set later on.

Description

Injector Dynamics ID1050-XDS 48mm Fuel Injectors with 14mm Top and 14mm Lower O-Ring, Set of 6

Injector Dynamics’ ID1050-XDS 48mm Fuel Injectors in this set of six, with grey 14mm top adapters and 14mm lower O-rings, are listed for the 2001-2006 E46 M3, the Nissan 350Z and Infiniti G35, the Nissan Patrol and the Porsche 996 and 997.1 twin turbo. A supercharged or turbocharged 350Z or G35 is exactly the build this set suits. An unmodified engine of any of these will not use 1065cc/min per cylinder. Once boost or E85 enters the plan, the 10 bar pressure limit and corrosion-resistant internals carry the extra load.

Configuration

The part number reads as family 1050, a 48mm body, a grey 14mm top adapter, a 14mm lower and six injectors. The later 370Z and G37 are listed for a different configuration with the R35 lower spacer.

Features

Developed with Bosch Motorsport to Injector Dynamics specification
Rated for gasoline, ethanol, methanol and all other known fuels
About five percent more flow than the ID1000, with low-flow control retained
Six injectors flow matched, each with a replaceable inlet filter

Specifications

Nominal flow: 1065cc/min at 3.0 bar (43.5 psi), gasoline at 52C (125F)
Maximum differential fuel pressure: 10.0 bar (145 psi)
Fuel compatibility: All known fuels
Electrical connector: USCAR
Body length: 48mm
Top: 14mm adapter (grey)
Lower: 14mm O-ring

What’s Included

ID1050-XDS fuel injectors with grey 14mm top adapters fitted (x6)

Applications

Injector Dynamics lists the ID1050-XDS 48mm Fuel Injectors in this configuration for:

BMW M3: E46 | 2001-2006
Infiniti G35
Nissan 350Z
Nissan Patrol
Porsche 996 / 997.1: Twin turbo

Notes

Non-turbo 996 and 997.1 cars and the 370Z and G37 take different sets
Plug-and-play adapters for Denso, EV1 and OBD2 wiring are not included with these USCAR-connector injectors; Denso-wired engines can use the Injector Dynamics USCAR to Denso PnP Adapter
Budget for an ECU recalibration, as the tuner needs the Injector Dynamics characterization data for the 1050

About Injector Dynamics

Injector Dynamics is an Arizona injector specialist and an authorized technical partner of Bosch Motorsport, developing its injectors to its own specification rather than modifying production parts. It introduced slope and offset matching in 2007, and its Dual Slope Matching, developed by engineer Aaron Looft, extends matching into the short pulse widths that boosted and ethanol engines rely on. Its flow benches are built in house and calibrated against a NIST-traceable flow prover. Injector Dynamics supplied the emissions-compliant injectors for the twin-turbo Noble M600, and its injectors were fitted to the first seven-second Nissan GT-R and the first 300 mph motorcycle.

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, unfortunately our website is unable to compensate dynamically for what can at times be volatile changes in the cost of items due to currency values fluctuating, changes in prices from suppliers, changes in shipping and import duties, and other factors. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. We will continue to do our best to maintain updated prices and we will always continue to offer our price match guarantees as well to ensure our prices are always the best for you. In short, prices may change without notice. It is always advised to give us a call prior to placing your order online to confirm availability and to confirm current pricing.

Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
