Will this set fit a 2013 or later Viper?

No. Injector Dynamics lists the 2013 to 2017 Viper for a set of ten with gold 14mm bottom adapters. This set, with black bottom adapters, is listed for the 2008 to 2010 car, and the 2003 to 2007 Viper takes 60mm injectors.

What is the black bottom adapter for?

Injector Dynamics uses one compact injector body across more than 200 applications and matches each engine with top and bottom adapters. The black 14mm bottom adapter gives the lower end the shape the 2008 to 2010 Viper injector bore expects, and it comes fitted.

Are the ID1050-XDS 48mm Fuel Injectors worth it on a stock Viper?

No. A stock Viper is fueled by its factory injectors. The ID1050-XDS 48mm Fuel Injectors earn their place when the V10 gains forced induction or switches to E85, where 1065cc per minute per injector and a 10 bar pressure limit give the tuner room to work.

Will the Viper need a new calibration with these injectors?

Yes. The ECU works out fuel delivery from injector flow, offset and short pulse data, and the ID1050-XDS differs from the factory injector on all of them. Injector Dynamics publishes characterization data for the 1050, which your tuner enters before the Viper is run so the mixture is right from idle to full load.

What happens if one of the Viper injectors turns out faulty?

Injector Dynamics warrants its injectors against manufacturer defects for one year from purchase, subject to correct fuel and proper filtration. A matched replacement is supplied through Injector Dynamics so all ten Viper injectors stay balanced. For injectors with miles on them, the company runs a cleaning, inspection and flow test service in Arizona.

Description

Injector Dynamics ID1050-XDS 48mm Fuel Injectors with 14mm Top and 14mm Bottom Adapter, Set of 10

Injector Dynamics’ ID1050-XDS 48mm Fuel Injectors in this set of ten, with grey 14mm top adapters and black 14mm bottom adapters, are the configuration Injector Dynamics lists for the 2008-2010 Dodge Viper. The Viper V10 already makes serious power on its factory injectors, so this set belongs on a car that is gaining a supercharger, turbochargers or E85. There, ten 1065cc/min injectors with a 10 bar limit add the fuel the calibration needs, and the low-flow control kept from the ID1000 holds idle steady on gasoline.

Configuration

The part number reads as family 1050, a 48mm body, a 14mm top, a black 14mm bottom adapter and ten injectors. Each Viper generation has its own listing: the 2013-2017 car uses gold bottom adapters and the 2003-2007 car uses 60mm injectors.

The 2013-2017 Viper takes gold bottom adapters and the 2003-2007 Viper takes 60mm injectors

About Injector Dynamics

Injector Dynamics is an Arizona injector specialist and an authorized technical partner of Bosch Motorsport, developing its injectors to its own specification rather than modifying production parts. It introduced slope and offset matching in 2007, and its Dual Slope Matching, developed by engineer Aaron Looft, extends matching into the short pulse widths that boosted and ethanol engines rely on. Its flow benches are built in house and calibrated against a NIST-traceable flow prover. Injector Dynamics supplied the emissions-compliant injectors for the twin-turbo Noble M600, and its injectors were fitted to the first seven-second Nissan GT-R and the first 300 mph motorcycle.

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. We will continue to do our best to maintain updated prices and we will always continue to offer our price match guarantees as well to ensure our prices are always the best for you. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
