Will this set fit a Dodge Viper?

No. Injector Dynamics lists the 2008 to 2010 Viper for a 48mm set of ten with black bottom adapters and the 2013 to 2017 Viper with gold bottom adapters. The 2003 to 2007 Viper takes 60mm injectors. This set has a plain 14mm lower and no listed vehicle.

Which engines are the ID1050-XDS 48mm Fuel Injectors in a set of ten for?

Injector Dynamics does not publish a vehicle list for the ID1050-XDS 48mm Fuel Injectors in this form. It suits a V10 fuel system built for a 48mm injector with a 14mm top and a plain 14mm lower O-ring, which usually means a custom or modified setup.

Will ten 1050s idle smoothly on gasoline?

Yes, once calibrated. Injector Dynamics kept the low flow control of the ID1000 while raising flow about five percent, so short pulses stay consistent at idle and cruise. The flow matched set also keeps the ten cylinders evenly fueled at light load.

Is a tune required on the V10 with this set?

Yes. Any change of injector means a change of flow and offset, and the ID1050-XDS also differs from factory parts in how it behaves at very short pulse widths. Injector Dynamics supplies characterization data covering all three, and the calibration for the V10 has to be updated with it before use.

How long is the warranty on the 48mm set?

One year from purchase, covering manufacturer defects. The cover depends on running the correct fuel through proper filtration, so a fresh fuel filter belongs in the installation. Single replacements for a matched set of ten 48mm injectors are handled by Injector Dynamics, which also offers cleaning, inspection and flow testing in Arizona for injectors that have seen service.

Description

Injector Dynamics ID1050-XDS 48mm Fuel Injectors with 14mm Top and 14mm Lower O-Ring, Set of 10

Injector Dynamics’ ID1050-XDS 48mm Fuel Injectors in a set of ten use grey 14mm top adapters and plain 14mm lower O-rings, with no bottom adapter. Injector Dynamics publishes no vehicle list for this ten-injector combination, and the V10s it does list on a 48mm body all carry a bottom adapter or the R35 lower spacer. That makes this a set for a custom ten-cylinder fuel system, or one already modified to take a plain 14mm lower. For that engine, ten 1065cc/min injectors with a 10 bar limit cover a big jump in boost or a move to E85 without giving up a smooth idle.

Configuration

The ID1050-XDS 48mm Fuel Injectors in this set read as family 1050, a 48mm body, a 14mm top, a 14mm lower and ten injectors. Check the lower seal against your old injectors, since the listed V10 applications use adapters there.

Features

Built with Bosch Motorsport, with corrosion-resistant internals
Rated for all known fuels
Stable to 10 bar differential pressure
Ten injectors flow matched as a set

Specifications

Nominal flow: 1065cc/min at 3.0 bar (43.5 psi), gasoline at 52C (125F)
Maximum differential fuel pressure: 10.0 bar (145 psi)
Fuel compatibility: All known fuels
Electrical connector: USCAR
Body length: 48mm
Top: 14mm adapter (grey)
Lower: 14mm O-ring

What’s Included

ID1050-XDS fuel injectors with grey 14mm top adapters fitted (x10)

Applications

Injector Dynamics does not publish a vehicle list for this configuration; it fits fuel systems built for a 48mm injector with a 14mm top and a 14mm lower O-ring.

Notes

Plain 14mm lower O-ring with no bottom adapter; the Viper and Gallardo sets Injector Dynamics lists use bottom adapters or the R35 spacer instead
The injectors carry USCAR connectors, so Denso, EV1 or Honda OBD2 wiring needs plug-and-play adapters, which are not included; the Injector Dynamics USCAR to Denso PnP Adapter covers Denso plugs
The engine must be recalibrated with the Injector Dynamics characterization data before it is driven

About Injector Dynamics

Injector Dynamics is an Arizona injector specialist and an authorized technical partner of Bosch Motorsport, developing its injectors to its own specification rather than modifying production parts. It introduced slope and offset matching in 2007, and its Dual Slope Matching, developed by engineer Aaron Looft, extends matching into the short pulse widths that boosted and ethanol engines rely on. Its flow benches are built in house and calibrated against a NIST-traceable flow prover. Injector Dynamics supplied the emissions-compliant injectors for the twin-turbo Noble M600, and its injectors were fitted to the first seven-second Nissan GT-R and the first 300 mph motorcycle.

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. We will continue to do our best to maintain updated prices and we will always continue to offer our price match guarantees as well to ensure our prices are always the best for you. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
