Why does this set contain sixteen injectors?

Injector Dynamics lists sixteen injectors for the McLaren 720S and Senna, which is the count those engines use. Ordering a full matched set keeps flow consistent at every injector position, and that consistency matters more as fuel demand rises with ethanol or bigger turbochargers.

Will these fit other McLaren models?

No, not as a set of sixteen. Injector Dynamics lists the MP4-12C, 570S, 600LT, 650S, 675LT and P1 for an eight injector set with the same 34mm body and 14mm seals, so those cars need the eight piece version of this configuration.

Are the ID1050-XDS 34mm Fuel Injectors suitable for E85?

Yes. The ID1050-XDS 34mm Fuel Injectors are rated for every known fuel, and Injector Dynamics designed their internals to resist corrosion during long service on ethanol and methanol. Make sure the pump and lines can supply the larger fuel volume that E85 needs before the tune is finalized.

Is a tune required on the 720S or Senna with this set?

Yes. Any change of injector means a change of flow and offset, and the ID1050-XDS also differs from factory parts in how it behaves at very short pulse widths. Injector Dynamics supplies characterization data covering all three, and the calibration for the 720S or Senna has to be updated with it before use.

Are the McLaren injectors in this set matched to each other?

Yes. Injector Dynamics flow matches all sixteen McLaren injectors as a group, which is why a single replacement is arranged through the company and not pulled from shelf stock. The warranty lasts one year from purchase against manufacturer defects, as long as the correct fuel and proper filtration are used, and an Arizona service can clean, inspect and flow test the set later on.

Description

Injector Dynamics ID1050-XDS 34mm Fuel Injectors with 14mm Top and Lower O-Rings, Set of 16

Injector Dynamics’ ID1050-XDS 34mm Fuel Injectors come as a matched set of sixteen in this configuration, which Injector Dynamics lists for the McLaren 720S and the McLaren Senna. Every injector uses the short 34mm body with 14mm O-rings directly at both ends and flows 1065cc/min at 3.0 bar on gasoline. Sixteen is the injector count Injector Dynamics specifies for these cars, so this is a full replacement for a 720S or Senna being tuned beyond what its original injectors can deliver, usually on E85 or with larger turbochargers. A car running its factory calibration gains nothing from it.

Configuration

Family 1050, a 34mm body, 14mm top, 14mm lower and sixteen injectors make up the part number. Ordering all sixteen as one flow-matched set keeps every injector position consistent, which matters more as total fuel demand rises.

Features

Corrosion-resistant internals developed with Bosch Motorsport
Stable to 10 bar differential pressure thanks to a stronger magnetic circuit
Low-flow control retained for clean idle on gasoline
Replaceable inlet filters on all sixteen injectors

Specifications

Nominal flow: 1065cc/min at 3.0 bar (43.5 psi), gasoline at 52C (125F)
Maximum differential fuel pressure: 10.0 bar (145 psi)
Fuel compatibility: All known fuels
Electrical connector: USCAR
Body length: 34mm
Top: No adapter; 14mm O-ring on the injector body
Lower: 14mm O-ring

What’s Included

ID1050-XDS fuel injectors (x16)

Applications

Injector Dynamics lists the ID1050-XDS 34mm Fuel Injectors in this configuration for:

McLaren 720S
McLaren Senna

Notes

Sixteen injectors, the count Injector Dynamics lists for the 720S and Senna
Other McLaren models listed by Injector Dynamics take the eight-injector set of the same configuration
Connectors are USCAR, and adapters for Denso, EV1, Honda OBD2 and 2012-on Honda plugs are sold separately, with the Injector Dynamics USCAR to Denso PnP Adapter available for Denso wiring
Fueling will be wrong until the calibration is updated with the Injector Dynamics data for these injectors

About Injector Dynamics

Injector Dynamics is an Arizona injector specialist and an authorized technical partner of Bosch Motorsport, developing its injectors to its own specification rather than modifying production parts. It introduced slope and offset matching in 2007, and its Dual Slope Matching, developed by engineer Aaron Looft, extends matching into the short pulse widths that boosted and ethanol engines rely on. Its flow benches are built in house and calibrated against a NIST-traceable flow prover. Injector Dynamics supplied the emissions-compliant injectors for the twin-turbo Noble M600, and its injectors were fitted to the first seven-second Nissan GT-R and the first 300 mph motorcycle.

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
