Which trucks does the Hose Kit for Mack LEU612 fit?

HPS lists the Hose Kit for Mack LEU612 trucks, part number 57-1708-BLUE, for 2007-2010 Mack LEU612 models. It replaces OE part numbers 20934539, 21548313, 21794132 and 21794129. HPS makes several Mack transmission oil cooler hose kits with overlapping part numbers, so checking the numbers on the old hoses is the surest way to confirm the match.

What does the kit include?

The kit includes the HPS 6-ply aramid reinforced silicone hoses that take the place of the four OE part numbers listed for it, plus HPS stainless steel spring loaded T-bolt hose clamps. Coolant is not included, and other cooling system hoses on the truck are not part of this kit.

How much heat and pressure can the hoses take?

HPS rates the hoses to a maximum of 500F, or 260C, and says they withstand operating pressures of over 100 PSI. That capability comes from six layers of aramid reinforcement inside the silicone, which HPS specifies for long service in place of factory rubber hoses that weaken and fail over time.

Why does the kit use T-bolt clamps?

HPS supplies stainless steel spring loaded T-bolt clamps because they give a high strength, 360 degree seal that holds regardless of temperature and pressure fluctuations. On a transmission oil cooler circuit that heats up and cools down with every working day, a clamp that keeps its grip through those swings protects the joints at each hose end.

Is the kit a direct replacement for the factory hoses?

Yes. HPS states that its silicone hose kits have the correct bends and dimensions for a well-fit replacement of worn or damaged OEM rubber hoses, and that they are much easier to work with than universal hoses from a parts store. Installation follows the same steps as replacing the original hoses, using the supplied T-bolt clamps.

Description

HPS Silicone Transmission Oil Cooler Hose Kit for Mack LEU612

HPS’s Silicone Transmission Oil Cooler Hose Kit for Mack LEU612 replaces the factory rubber coolant hoses that serve the transmission oil cooler on 2007-2010 Mack LEU612 trucks, covering OE part numbers 20934539, 21548313, 21794132 and 21794129. HPS builds each hose from six plies of aramid reinforced silicone and ships the kit with stainless spring loaded T-bolt clamps. It is aimed at fleet shops and owner-operators who would rather fit one durable set than keep replacing rubber hoses that weaken with age.

Design and Performance

Six plies of aramid reinforced silicone give these hoses the margin HPS quotes, 500F and over 100 PSI, and the spring loaded T-bolt clamps hold a 360 degree seal as temperature and pressure rise and fall. The kit earns its price on a truck that has already had a rubber hose soften or split in these positions. On a truck whose original hoses are still sound, it is a planned upgrade at the next service rather than an urgent repair.

Features

Molded with the correct bends and dimensions of the OEM rubber hoses
Stainless steel spring loaded T-bolt clamps for a high strength, 360 degree seal

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
