Does the hose kit for Ford F-250 to F-550 7.3L trucks fit one built before April 29, 2001?

No. HPS lists part number 57-1329 for 2001-2003 Super Duty trucks with the 7.3L Powerstroke built from April 29, 2001 onward, and earlier production is not on its application list. Check the build date of the truck before ordering, since a 2001 model year truck can fall on either side of that date.

Does one kit cover the F-250, F-350, F-450 and F-550?

Yes. HPS lists the same part number, 57-1329, for the F-250, F-350, F-450 and F-550 Super Duty with the 7.3L Powerstroke from that production date through 2003. The hoses do not change between the four models, so the only choice to make is black, blue or red.

Will this kit fit a 6.0L Super Duty?

No. HPS lists 57-1329 for the 7.3L Powerstroke only. The 2003-2007 Super Duty with the 6.0L V8 turbo diesel takes HPS kit 57-1214 or 57-1075 depending on front suspension type, and Bulletproof Automotive lists that kit as a separate product.

How often should coolant be checked after fitting silicone hoses?

Regularly. HPS states that silicone hose lets water permeate at 10 to 15 times the rate of standard EPDM rubber, so a truck on the hose kit for Ford F-250 to F-550 7.3L models can slowly lose coolant with every clamp tight. HPS recommends frequent level checks on a vehicle in daily use.

What comes in the kit, and is anything else needed?

The kit includes the upper and lower radiator hoses in reinforced silicone and HPS stainless steel non-perforated embossed clamps. Coolant for the refill is not included, and heater hoses are not part of this kit, so a full cooling refresh on the 7.3L calls for a separate heater hose set as well.

Description

HPS Silicone Radiator Hose Kit for Ford F-250, F-350, F-450 and F-550 7.3L

HPS’s Silicone Radiator Hose Kit for Ford F-250, F-350, F-450 and F-550 7.3L trucks covers the Powerstroke Super Duty built from April 29, 2001 through the 2003 model year, and it swaps both factory rubber radiator hoses for 3-ply reinforced silicone. HPS rates the material to 350F and molds each hose to the original bends. For an owner keeping a 7.3L truck in service, it replaces rubber that may now be twenty-five years old.

Design and Performance

HPS shapes the hoses to the Ford routing and supplies the clamps, so the swap needs nothing beyond coolant. The kit makes the most sense when the original hoses show cracks or damage or have collapsed, the failures HPS built it to fix. On a truck whose hoses are still healthy it is preventive maintenance, not a cure for high temperatures caused elsewhere in the cooling system.

Features

Replaces the factory rubber upper and lower radiator coolant hoses
Correct bends and curves to match the original routing
Engineered for extremely high temperature service and prolonged under-hood heat, per HPS

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. We will continue to do our best to maintain updated prices and we will always continue to offer our price match guarantees as well to ensure our prices are always the best for you. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
