Does the Hose Kit for Toyota Tacoma 3.5L trucks fit every trim level?

Yes. HPS lists part number 57-1581 for 2016-2023 Tacoma pickups with the 3.5L V6 in SR, SR5, TRD Sport, TRD Off-Road, TRD Pro, Limited, Nightshade, Trail and Edicion Especial trims. HPS does not list the 2.7L four-cylinder Tacoma, so a four-cylinder truck needs a different HPS kit.

Which hoses does the kit replace?

The kit covers the radiator hoses, the heater hoses and the ancillary coolant hoses on the 3.5L V6, and HPS supplies stainless steel embossed clamps to go with them. HPS describes it as a complete coolant hose upgrade for the third-generation Tacoma, so every hose in the kit can be renewed in a single drain and refill.

Will silicone hoses make the truck lose coolant?

Yes, slowly. HPS states that silicone hose passes water through its wall at 10 to 15 times the rate of EPDM rubber hose, so a Tacoma running silicone coolant hoses can need an occasional top-up even with every clamp tight. Checking the overflow reservoir during routine service is enough to stay ahead of it.

What material and temperature rating does HPS use?

HPS builds the Hose Kit for Toyota Tacoma 3.5L trucks from high-temperature 3-ply reinforced silicone rated to 350F. HPS says the layered construction gives a higher burst pressure and a longer service life than factory rubber hoses, which turn brittle and crack after repeated heat soak from towing or off-road driving.

How difficult is installation?

Fitting the kit means draining the coolant, swapping each hose and clamp, then refilling and bleeding air from the system. Because HPS molds the hoses to the factory bends and states that no trimming or modification is needed, an owner comfortable with routine cooling system service can do the job at home with hand tools.

Description

HPS Silicone Radiator and Heater Hose Kit for Toyota Tacoma 3.5L

HPS’s Silicone Radiator and Heater Hose Kit for Toyota Tacoma 3.5L trucks swaps the factory rubber radiator, heater and ancillary coolant hoses on the 2016-2023 third-generation Tacoma for 3-ply reinforced silicone rated to 350F. Each hose follows the OEM bends, so it drops into the 2GR-FKS engine bay without trimming, and the kit comes with stainless steel embossed clamps. It suits owners who tow, run trails or want the whole coolant circuit renewed in one job.

Design and Performance

Three plies of reinforced silicone let each hose resist both expansion and collapse under pressure, which keeps coolant flow consistent through the sustained heat of towing or slow off-road work. The kit will not make the stock radiator cool any better; what changes is how well the hoses tolerate heat cycles. On a lightly used truck with healthy original hoses it is a preventive upgrade rather than a repair.

Features

Radiator, heater and ancillary coolant hoses supplied together, so the circuit is renewed in one service
Molded with the OEM bends for a drop-in fit with no trimming or modification, according to HPS
Stainless steel embossed clamps that seal firmly without cutting into the silicone
Higher burst pressure and longer service life than the factory rubber hoses, as HPS states
Offered in black or red

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. We will continue to do our best to maintain updated prices and we will always continue to offer our price match guarantees as well to ensure our prices are always the best for you. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
