Is the heater hose kit for E46 BMW M3 cars compatible with a 330i?

No. HPS lists part number 57-1543 only for the 2001-2006 BMW E46 M3 with left-hand drive. Non-M E46 models such as the 325i and 330i do not appear in the HPS application list, and right-hand-drive M3s are excluded as well, so check the car before ordering.

What does the kit include?

Inside the box are the HPS reinforced silicone lower and upper radiator hoses, the heater coolant hoses and a set of 100 percent stainless steel non-perforated embossed hose clamps. Coolant, the radiator and the expansion tank are not included, so fresh coolant for the refill is a separate purchase.

Does the heater hose kit for E46 M3 cars change engine temperature?

No. New hoses restore the cooling system rather than add capacity, so an M3 with a healthy radiator and pump should run at the same temperature as before. The benefit is durability: HPS rates the heater hose kit for E46 BMW M3 cars to 350F and engineers it for prolonged exposure to under-hood heat.

How often should coolant be checked with silicone hoses?

Regularly, according to HPS, because silicone hose has a water permeation rate 10 to 15 times greater than standard EPDM rubber. An E46 M3 on these hoses can lose a small amount of coolant over time even with every clamp tight, so a glance at the expansion tank during routine checks keeps the level right.

Can an owner install the kit at home?

Yes. Replacing the hoses is a drain, swap and refill job: drain the coolant, remove the old radiator and heater hoses, fit the HPS hoses with the supplied clamps, then refill and bleed the system. With the bends molded to match the originals, an owner with cooling system experience can finish it in a home garage.

Description

HPS Silicone Radiator and Heater Hose Kit for E46 BMW M3 3.2L

HPS’s Silicone Radiator and Heater Hose Kit for E46 BMW M3 3.2L owners replaces the stock rubber radiator hoses, upper and lower, together with the heater coolant hoses on left-hand-drive 2001-2006 cars. Every piece is high temperature 3-ply reinforced silicone, molded with the correct bends and rated by HPS to 350F, and the kit ships with stainless steel non-perforated embossed clamps. Even the youngest E46 M3 is now twenty years old, which makes this a sensible buy for an owner whose original hoses are due, offered in black, blue or red.

Design and Performance

HPS presents part number 57-1543 as a replacement or upgrade for OEM or aftermarket hoses, and it is a like-for-like swap in silicone rather than a reworked cooling layout. Hoses do not add cooling capacity, so an M3 that runs hot on track needs its radiator and fan looked at as well. Where this kit earns its place is longevity under sustained under-hood heat.

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
