Will the heater hose kit for E36 BMW M3 cars fit a 1995 M3 or a 328i?

No. HPS lists part number 57-1674 for the 1996-1999 BMW E36 M3 with left-hand drive only. The 1995 M3 and non-M E36 models such as the 325i and 328i are not listed for this kit, so owners of those cars should not order it.

Does the kit cover both radiator and heater hoses?

Yes. The kit replaces the lower and upper radiator hoses and the heater coolant hoses on the 1996-1999 M3, and HPS includes 100 percent stainless steel non-perforated embossed clamps. The radiator, water pump and thermostat are not included and are bought separately if they need replacing.

Is silicone hose suitable for track use on an E36 M3?

Yes. HPS calls the design race proven and engineers the hoses for extremely high temperature service, with a maximum rating of 350F. The heater hose kit for E36 BMW M3 cars also meets or exceeds OE specifications according to HPS, so it suits a car that splits time between the road and track days.

Will the M3 lose coolant through silicone hoses?

Yes, slightly. HPS states that silicone hose has a water permeation rate 10 to 15 times greater than standard EPDM rubber hose, so an M3 on these hoses can need an occasional top-up with every clamp tight. Checking the coolant level regularly is the HPS recommendation for a daily-driven car.

How is the kit installed?

The work follows a factory hose replacement: drain the coolant, remove the original radiator and heater hoses, fit the HPS hoses using the supplied clamps, then refill and bleed air from the system. HPS molds each hose with the correct bends, so an M3 owner experienced with cooling system work can complete it at home.

Description

HPS Silicone Radiator and Heater Hose Kit for E36 BMW M3 3.2L

HPS’s Silicone Radiator and Heater Hose Kit for E36 BMW M3 3.2L cars is part number 57-1674, built for left-hand-drive 1996-1999 models and offered in black, blue or red. It takes the place of the factory rubber lower and upper radiator hoses and heater coolant hoses with 3-ply reinforced silicone that HPS rates to 350F and molds with the correct bends for the original layout. On an M3 that still sees track days, renewing rubber that is now more than twenty-five years old is sensible insurance against the cracked or collapsed hoses that lead to leaks and overheating.

Design and Performance

HPS aims this race-proven design at sustained heat, engineering the reinforced silicone for prolonged exposure to under-hood and coolant heat, which matters more on a lapping M3 than on a weekend cruiser. What the kit will not do is fix a failing radiator, water pump or thermostat; none of those are included, so inspect them while the coolant is drained.

Features

Replaces the lower and upper radiator hoses and the heater coolant hoses in one kit
Molded with the correct bends and curves for a direct fit on the factory layout
Stainless steel non-perforated embossed clamps that do not cut the silicone
Engineered for extremely high temperature service, according to HPS
Offered in black, blue or red

HPS states that silicone hose permeates water at 10 to 15 times the rate of EPDM rubber, so check the coolant level regularly

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. We will continue to do our best to maintain updated prices and we will always continue to offer our price match guarantees as well to ensure our prices are always the best for you. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
