Does the Charge Pipe Extension for Honda Accord 2.0T cars include the upper pipe?

No. This listing is the cold side extension only, HPS part number 17-136. The one-piece upper cold side pipe is HPS part number 17-124, and HPS also sells the two together as its two-piece cold side set. Bulletproof Automotive lists that set and the three-piece hot and cold side kit separately.

Which upper pipe does the extension work with?

HPS pairs the extension with its own one-piece upper cold side pipe, part number 17-124, in its two-piece cold side set. HPS product data does not state whether the extension can also be used with the factory plastic upper pipe, so owners still running the stock upper pipe should confirm with Bulletproof Automotive before ordering.

Which Accord models does it fit?

HPS lists the 2018 to 2022 Honda Accord with the 2.0L turbo engine, in EX-L, Sport and Touring trims. HPS does not list the 1.5L turbo Accord for this part number, so check which engine the car has before ordering any HPS cold side piping.

How much power does the extension add?

HPS has not published a dyno result for the extension alone. Its recorded gains of 16 wheel horsepower and 24 lb-ft at 3,500 rpm came from the upper cold side pipe, part number 17-124, so the Charge Pipe Extension for Honda Accord cars is best treated as the part that completes the HPS cold side.

Does installation require modification?

No. HPS states that no modification is required when installing its Accord intercooler piping and that it does not trigger a check engine light. HPS rates the upper pipe install at 3 out of 5 for difficulty and gives no separate time estimate for fitting the extension.

Description

HPS Cold Side Intercooler Charge Pipe Extension for Honda Accord 2.0L Turbo

HPS’s Cold Side Intercooler Charge Pipe Extension for Honda Accord 2.0L Turbo is the extension section of the HPS cold side piping for the 2018-2022 Accord 2.0T, offered here on its own in black. HPS joins it to its one-piece upper pipe, part number 17-124, to form the two-piece cold side set, and adds the hot side pipe for its complete three-piece kit. It suits Accord owners who already run the HPS upper pipe and want to finish the cold side to match.

Construction

HPS product information for this Accord piping family lists aluminum tubing at 2.5 inches outside diameter, and its highlights describe bead-rolled pipe ends that keep couplers from popping off under boost, joined with 4-ply reinforced silicone hoses and stainless steel embossed clamps. On its own the extension completes a system rather than adding power: HPS published its dyno gains for the upper pipe, so an owner starting from stock gets more from the two-piece set.

Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
