HPS’s Cold Air Intake Kit for Toyota Sequoia and Tundra 5.7L V8 (2007-2011) serves the 3UR-FE in both trucks, swapping the factory air box for a 3.5 inch mandrel-bent aluminum tube, a washable HPS filter and a powder-coated steel heat shield. HPS recorded 24 whp and 26 lb-ft on its dyno and states that the kit needs no tune. For an older Sequoia or Tundra, it is a straightforward way to sharpen the V8 while leaving the factory calibration untouched.

Design and Performance

One large tube and one filter keep the layout simple, and the steel shield keeps that filter out of the hot air around the engine rather than leaving it exposed. HPS tuned the kit for the top end of the power band, so expect the gain to show most at higher rpm. It will not transform a stock 5.7L, but it is a measured improvement that bolts on without modification.
