Benefits of the Pull-Type Relief Valve Operation

• The pull-type valve operation allows for precise discharge of excess boost and is compatible with a broader range of boost pressure, compared to the traditional push-type blow off valves.

Sequential System with Dual-Valve Structure

• In the low boost ranges, the primary valve is activated. As the boost ranges increase, the secondary valve also opens in tandem with the primary valve. This sequential system allows for linear response and efficient blow-off operation at all boost levels.

Pull-Type Blow Off Valves

• These valves cater to any turbocharged vehicle, ranging from stock to heavily modified ones. The conventional push-type blow off valves require specific spring load settings for each vehicle. If these settings are too low, there might be leakage at high boost, failing to reach the desired boost setting. If the settings are too high, the valve might not open at low boost. However, the Super SQV operates under any boost pressure setting without any leakage.

• When the air is expelled into the atmosphere, the distinctive high pitch of the HKS SSQV intensifies the blow-off sound, emphasizing the SQV’s presence. Changing the charge pipe material from resin (typical in stock versions) to aluminum not only improves durability but also minimizes airflow resistance.

About HKS

In October 1973, two spirited engineers, Hiroyuki Hasegawa, a former engineer for Yamaha Motor Company, and his partner Mr. Kitagawa, embarked on a mission.
