HKS SSQV IV Blow-Off Valve for A90 / A91 Toyota GR Supra
The HKS Super SQV (sequential blow off valve) employs a unique sequential valve structure coupled with a differential pressure control system. This combination allows the Super SQV to operate effectively across a wide range, from low to high boost scenarios. Thanks to the pull-type relief design, the Super SQV ensures stability regardless of the level of boost pressure. As such, this advanced valve is perfectly equipped to serve the emerging generation of turbocharged vehicles.
A High-Quality Aluminum Die-Cast Body
- The Super SQV is constructed with a silver-coated aluminum die-cast body, combining an appealing aesthetic with robust durability, enhancing the engine compartment’s overall appearance.
High Stiffness Metal Die-Cast Valve Integration
- The die-cast metal forms the major part of the secondary valve, ensuring reliable operation while maintaining a visually stunning appearance.
Triple Fin Design for “Super Sound”
- A trio of fins placed at the funnel’s center produces a sound that is both dynamic and aggressive. For further sound tuning, a specially designed Round Fin is available as an optional purchase.
Benefits of Pull-Type Relief Valve Operation
- The pull-type valve operation offers precise control over excess boost, providing a broader range of boost pressure compatibility compared to traditional push-type blow off valves.
Sequential System and Dual-Valve Structure
- At low boost ranges, the primary valve engages, and as the boost range increases, the secondary valve activates, complementing the primary valve. This dual valve, sequential system provides a linear response and optimal blow-off performance at all boost levels.
Pull-Type Blow Off Valves Compatibility
- These valves are suitable for any turbocharged vehicle, from stock vehicles to those that are highly tuned. Conventional push-type blow off valves require specific spring load settings for each vehicle. If these settings are too low, the valve might leak under high boost, and the desired boost setting may not be reached. If the settings are too high, the valve might not open under low boost. The Super SQV operates under any boost pressure without the risk of leakage.
Notable Features
- When air is released into the atmosphere, the distinct high-frequency sound of the HKS SSQV accentuates the sharp blow-off noise, signaling the presence of the SQV. Replacing the resin material of the charge pipe (as in stock versions) with aluminum offers improved durability and a reduction in airflow resistance.

About HKS
In October 1973, two spirited engineers, Hiroyuki Hasegawa, a former engineer for Yamaha Motor Company, and his partner Mr. Kitagawa, embarked on a mission. They envisioned creating high-performance engines and components that leading Original Equipment manufacturers could not or would not produce. With a capital investment from Sigma Automotive Co., Ltd., giving rise to the name “HKS”, they started tuning gasoline-powered engines in a dairy shed at the base of Mount Fuji, Japan. A year later, Mr. Hasegawa designed the first aftermarket turbocharger for passenger cars, marking the company’s initial step into the uncharted territories of automobile performance engineering.
The duo’s venture, HKS, was destined to pioneer the Japanese aftermarket performance industry. It offered an exciting array of innovative products, including the first ever commercially available electronic turbo timer and boost controller, along with advanced fuel computers and management tools. The ethos at HKS revolved around delivering performance trends for Japanese vehicles, with the company demonstrating its commitment to providing reliable, environmentally sound performance systems. Mr. Hasegawa’s strong leadership, creative engineering skills, and openness to customer feedback became the pillars of HKS’s success. The company always remained in sync with automotive enthusiasts’ needs, offering products that balanced performance with aesthetic appeal and user-friendly installation processes.
The industry today sees numerous start-up companies inspired by HKS’s pathbreaking journey, yet none can match the depth of engineering or manufacturing resources that HKS brings to the table. For over a quarter-century, HKS products have endured rigorous testing in diverse racing environments, from drag and road racing to rallying and top speed trials. HKS equipped vehicles have not only captured multiple racing championships but have also set a multitude of competition records with many “off the shelf”, race-proven HKS components.
With a new state-of-the-art 100,000 sq. ft. manufacturing and R&D facility at the foot of Mount Fuji, and an expansion into Europe through HKS Europe, HKS stands poised to lead the technology and manufacturing race of the future. They continue their “race on Sunday, sell on Sunday” philosophy, with many competitors in today’s Formula 3 series racing and winning with HKS prepared engines.
Over the years, HKS has matured into a publicly traded company with a comprehensive international sales and distribution network that spans Asia, Europe, Australia, and the Americas. The company’s ever-growing, loyal customer base worldwide is a testament to the quality and reliability of HKS’s engine, suspension, and drivetrain systems. Indeed, in the realm of automotive performance, there is simply NO substitute for HKS.
The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, unfortunately our website is unable to compensate dynamically for what can at times be volatile changes in the cost of items due to currency values fluctuating, changes in prices from suppliers, changes in shipping and import duties, and other factors. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. We will continue to do our best to maintain updated prices and we will always continue to offer our price match guarantees as well to ensure our prices are always the best for you. In short, prices may change without notice. It is always advised to give us a call prior to placing your order online to confirm availability and to confirm current pricing.
Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only.

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well.
For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at
