Does the Dual Muffler Exhaust for Infiniti Q50 replace the whole exhaust?

No. The HKS Dual Muffler Exhaust for Infiniti Q50 is the rear section only: left and right mufflers with 120mm titanium tips, plus two center tail pipes held on with V-band clamps. The factory front and center pipes stay on the car, and the mufflers hang on the factory rubber hangers.

Can the exhaust be made quieter?

Yes. HKS supplies blind flanges that replace the two center tail pipes, fitted with 47mm gaskets and the same V-band clamps. With the flanges in place HKS lists 63 dB at idle against 73 dB with the tail pipes, while its close test reads 87 dB against 86 dB, so the change shows mainly at idle.

How loud is it compared to the factory exhaust?

HKS measured 86 dB on its close test against 68 dB for the factory system, and 73 dB against 55 dB at idle. That is a large rise over stock, with a light and sporty tone. Owners after a quieter note can look at the HKS LEGAMAX Sports Exhaust for RV37, which HKS tuned to stay moderate at idle and cruise.

Which Q50 does it fit?

HKS lists part 32009-BN005 for the V37 Infiniti Q50 with the 3.7L VQ37VHR V6 from 2014 to 2016, and with the VR30DDTT twin-turbo V6 from 2016 to 2025, and names the Q50, Q50 AWD and Q50 Premium in its remarks. Owners of other versions, such as the hybrid, should confirm fitment with Bulletproof Automotive first.

Does it change ground clearance?

No. HKS states that ground clearance stays the same after installation, with 120mm of minimum clearance at the under panel on stock suspension. Owners on lowering springs or coilovers, such as the HKS HIPERMAX S for RV37, should check the gap under the car before regular use.

HKS Dual Muffler Exhaust for Infiniti Q50

HKS’s Dual Muffler Exhaust for Infiniti Q50 replaces the large factory rear mufflers on the V37 Q50 sedan with a straight SUS304 stainless rear section and four outlets: a 120mm titanium tip at each corner and two center tail pipes. HKS rebuilt the layout this way to cut back pressure, and the result is a light, sporty sound that is far louder than stock, at 86 dB against 68 dB on the HKS close test. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
