GiroDisc’s Front Rotors for Mercedes-Benz S65 AMG and CL65 AMG models take weight out of the front corners of the V12 flagships of the AMG range. GiroDisc puts each rotor at about 20.3 lb, compared with 23.8 lb for the stock disc. The hat is US-sourced 6061-T6 aircraft-specification aluminum, and the ring is GiroDisc’s proprietary cast iron, poured in the USA and machined in-house. For an S65 or CL65 owner who drives briskly and is wants lighter front discs without changing the calipers, this is the upgrade that does not involve a big brake kit.

Bolt-On and Go

No modifications are necessary: the discs bolt directly to the car and work with the factory calipers. Because only the discs change, factory brake bias and ABS efficiency are kept. Ten cadmium-plated alloy steel drive pins carry the load, and spring washers keep the floating ring quiet when cold.

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer.
