GiroDisc’s Front Rotors for 8J Audi TT RS replace the factory front discs with a two-piece floating design that GiroDisc weighs at about 19.8 lb, against roughly 26.6 lb for the stock rotor. That takes close to 7 lb of rotating, unsprung mass off each front corner. The ring is cast from GiroDisc’s own iron, poured in the USA, and rides on a US-sourced 6061-T6 aluminum hat. For a TT RS that sees canyon roads or track days, it is a smarter route than a big brake kit.

Bolt-On and Go

The rotors are a direct replacement for the original discs, so they bolt to the hubs and the factory calipers go back on unchanged. Keeping the stock diameter means the TT RS keeps its factory brake bias and ABS efficiency. Curved internal vanes pump air out through the ring, and anti-noise spring washers on the drive pins stop cold rattle while letting the ring grow with heat.

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer.
