Is a housing included with the GTX3576R Gen II CHRA?

No. The CHRA is the center housing rotating assembly only, with the bearing system, shaft, 68mm turbine wheel and 58mm Gen II compressor wheel. Both housings are bought separately. The GTX3576R Gen II super core adds the Gen II compressor housing for builds starting without housings.

What horsepower does Garrett rate the GTX3576R Gen II for?

Garrett rates it at 400 to 750 horsepower on engines from 2.0L to 4.5L, calculated from compressor choke flow and stated as potential flywheel horsepower. The GTX3576R Gen II CHRA will only reach the upper end with the fuel system, boost and calibration to match.

GTX3576R or GTX3582R Gen II?

Both share the 68mm turbine wheel. The GTX3576R uses a 58mm compressor inducer, rated to 750 horsepower, and spools sooner with a higher 145,000 rpm limit. The GTX3582R moves to a 66mm inducer and a 900 horsepower rating for engines that need more airflow.

Which turbine housings fit the GTX3576R Gen II?

Garrett states all GTX Gen II turbochargers are compatible with existing GT and GTX turbine housing kits. It lists GT35 free float housings in 0.61, 0.83 and 1.01 A/R V-band and 0.63, 0.82 and 1.06 A/R with T3 or T4 inlets, plus reverse rotation V-band options.

Can I keep my Gen I compressor housing?

Garrett does not say that a Gen II wheel will run in a Gen I compressor housing, and it does state that Gen II housings do not accept Gen I wheels. The safe route is a Gen II compressor housing or the Gen II super core. Ask us to check an existing housing before ordering.

Description

Garrett GTX3576R Gen II CHRA, 58mm Compressor

Garrett’s GTX3576R Gen II CHRA is the center section of the GTX3576R Gen II, combining a 58mm Gen II compressor wheel with the 68mm GT35 turbine wheel, supplied without compressor or turbine housings. Garrett rates the GTX3576R Gen II at 400 to 750 horsepower on 2.0L to 4.5L engines. That suits a built four-cylinder aimed at 600 horsepower or a 3.0L six on a moderate target, where the smaller compressor brings boost in earlier than the GTX3582R. Builds aiming much past 750 horsepower should go straight to the 66mm GTX3582R Gen II.

What Gen II Changed

Garrett developed the Gen II compressor wheel with computational fluid dynamics and states it supports up to 20 percent more horsepower than the previous GTX3576R. The Gen II compressor housing gained a fully machined inlet, outlet and ported shroud and a machined speed sensor port, while the turbine side stays compatible with all existing GT and GTX turbine housing kits.

Features

58mm inducer, 76mm exducer Gen II compressor wheel
68mm inducer, 62mm exducer turbine wheel
Gen II turbochargers are outline interchangeable with Gen I GT and GTX equivalents

Specifications

Garrett turbo reference: 5862
Compressor inducer and exducer: 58mm and 76mm
Turbine inducer and exducer: 68mm and 62mm
Maximum turbocharger speed: 145,000 rpm
Matching super core: 851154-5003S

Applications

The GTX3576R Gen II CHRA is not vehicle specific. Garrett sizes it by engine and output:

Engine displacement: 2.0L to 4.5L
Power range: 400 to 750 horsepower (Garrett rating)
Garrett GT35 and GTX35 turbine kits: 0.61, 0.83 and 1.01 A/R V-band and 0.63, 0.82 and 1.06 A/R T3 or T4 free float housings in standard rotation; 0.61, 0.83 and 1.01 A/R V-band in reverse rotation

Notes

Compressor and turbine housings are not included; the GTX3576R Gen II super core ships with the Gen II compressor housing
Garrett states that Gen II compressor housings do not accept Gen I compressor wheels
Garrett states that running above 145,000 rpm is at the owner’s risk and can cause premature failure
The Garrett speed sensor kit is sold separately

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
