Will the GTX3076R Gen II Assembly Kit bolt to my T3 manifold?

The turbine inlet on this GTX3076R Gen II Assembly Kit is a T3 flange, so it mates to a T3 manifold, and the outlet is a V-band for the downpipe. The housing is free float, which means the manifold also needs an external wastegate. Garrett publishes a flange diagram for confirming fit.

What is the power rating?

Garrett rates the GTX3076R Gen II at 400 to 750 horsepower, sized for engines from 1.8L to 3.0L. The rating is worked out from compressor choke flow and represents the potential flywheel horsepower of the turbocharger. Engine setup and calibration decide the real figure.

How is it different from the GTX3071R Gen II?

The two share the 60mm turbine wheel and the same GT30R housings, but the GTX3076R Gen II uses a 58mm inducer, 76mm exducer compressor against 54mm and 71mm on the GTX3071R. That raises the Garrett rating from 675 to 750 horsepower, at the same displacement range.

What arrives in the kit?

Super core 851154-5001S, which carries the compressor housing, turbine housing kit 740902-0008, and a gasket kit, packed in separate boxes. The owner assembles the turbocharger before fitting it and can clock the housing to suit the T3 manifold. The super core supersedes the earlier 836042-5003S.

Do I need a speed sensor?

Garrett recommends one. The maximum allowable speed is 145,000 rpm, and the compressor housing already has a machined port, plugged from the factory, that accepts the Garrett GT and GTX speed sensor. The kit is sold separately in Street form with a gauge or Pro form for a logger.

Description

Garrett GTX3076R Gen II Assembly Kit, 0.82 A/R T3 Inlet V-Band Outlet

Garrett’s GTX3076R Gen II Assembly Kit in 0.82 A/R T3 form combines the 58mm GTX30 Gen II compressor with a free-float GT30R housing that bolts to a T3 manifold flange and exits through a V-band outlet. Garrett rates the GTX3076R Gen II at 400 to 750 horsepower on 1.8L to 3.0L engines, which places it above the GTX3071R for builds with the fuel and intercooling to use it. The T3 inlet suits the many tubular manifolds built to that flange, and the 0.82 A/R is a middle-ground size for a 2.0L to 3.0L engine. Below about 400 horsepower it is more compressor than the job needs.

Features

Gen II compressor wheel with a 58mm inducer, which Garrett says supports up to 20 percent more horsepower than Gen I
Fully machined speed sensor port, plugged from the factory and opened with a 5mm Allen key
0.82 A/R free-float housing with a T3 inlet flange and V-band outlet

Specifications

Garrett turbo reference: 5855
Compressor inducer and exducer: 58mm and 76mm
Turbine inducer and exducer: 60mm and 55mm
Turbine housing: 0.82 A/R, T3 inlet and V-band outlet
Wastegate: External (free float)
Bearing system: 8mm dual ceramic ball bearing
Maximum turbocharger speed: 145,000 rpm
Rotation: Standard

What’s Included

GTX3076R Gen II super core 851154-5001S with compressor housing
GT30R turbine housing kit 740902-0008, 0.82 A/R, T3 inlet and V-band outlet
Gasket kit

Applications

The GTX3076R Gen II Assembly Kit is not vehicle specific. Garrett sizes it by engine and output:

Engine displacement: 1.8L to 3.0L
Power range: 400 to 750 horsepower (Garrett rating)
Manifold requirement: T3 turbine flange with an external wastegate

Notes

Ships as an assembly kit: super core and turbine housing kit in separate boxes, bolted together by the installer
An external wastegate is required, because this turbine housing has no internal wastegate
The GT and GTX version of the Garrett speed sensor kit is sold separately
Garrett states that running above 145,000 rpm is at the owner’s risk and can cause damage and premature failure
More housing sizes for this core are in the GTX3076R Gen II range

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
