Is the 1.01 A/R G30 Wastegate Turbine Housing right for my engine?

It fits best on 3.0L to 3.5L engines, or smaller engines that rev hard, running a G30-825 or G30-900 toward the top of its rating. The 1.01 A/R G30 Wastegate Turbine Housing lowers back pressure at high flow. Smaller engines focused on response should choose the 0.83 A/R.

Does Turn 14 list this as a G30-725 part?

Yes, Turn 14 names it after the G30-725, but Garrett lists it for every standard-rotation G30 super core: the G30-660, G30-770 and G30-900 and the G-Series II G30-725 and G30-825. We follow Garrett, so the listing names the G30 frame rather than one core.

Will an internal wastegate hold boost at 1.01 A/R?

Garrett designed its internally gated G-Series housings with the largest possible wastegate port specifically to reduce boost creep and improve boost control. Actual results depend on the boost target, the actuator spring and the exhaust flow of the engine, so very low boost targets at high power deserve a careful setup.

Can I fit it to a reverse rotation G30?

No. Garrett offers its internally gated G30 housings for standard-rotation cores only. A reverse-rotation G30 has to run a free-float housing with an external wastegate, and Garrett lists those in 0.61 to 1.21 A/R with T3 or V-band inlets for the reverse cores.

What comes in the box?

Garrett does not publish the contents of this turbine kit, including whether an actuator is supplied. Its assembled G30 turbochargers are calibrated with a 0.5 bar actuator, but that note covers the complete turbo part numbers only. Contact Bulletproof Automotive before ordering and we will confirm the contents with Garrett.

Description

Garrett G30 Wastegate Turbine Housing, 1.01 A/R V-Band

Garrett’s G30 Wastegate Turbine Housing at 1.01 A/R is the larger of the two internally gated housings for standard-rotation G30 cores, a stainless V-band casting with its wastegate port built in. Part 740902-0095 is listed by Garrett for the G30-660, G30-770, G30-900 and the G-Series II G30-725 and G30-825, the same layout as its assembled 1.01 A/R G30 turbochargers. It makes sense on a 3.0L to 3.5L engine, or a G30-825 or G30-900 build aimed high on its rating, where top-end flow matters and the owner wants boost control on the turbocharger. A 2.0L chasing response is better off with the 0.83 A/R.

Flow With Built-In Boost Control

A larger A/R lowers back pressure as exhaust flow rises, and on an internally gated housing it also means more exhaust reaching the wastegate port at full load. Garrett sizes that port as large as the housing allows to fight boost creep. The housing is stainless, rated to 1050C (1922F), and fits both generations of G30 core.

Features

1.01 A/R for top-end flow
Internal wastegate with Garrett’s maximum-size port
V-band inlet and outlet

Notes

Garrett does not publish the contents of this turbine kit or whether an actuator is supplied; contact us to confirm before ordering
The turbocharger core is not included; browse the G30 super cores and CHRAs
Standard rotation only; reverse-rotation G30 cores use free-float housings
For quicker spool with an internal wastegate, Garrett lists the 0.83 A/R housing as part 740902-0094

Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
