Does the Fabspeed Z06 Valvetronic Exhaust fit every C8?

No. It is built exclusively for the C8 Corvette Z06 and its 5.5L LT6 engine from 2023 onward, and it requires the factory center-exit exhaust, so confirm your car's setup before ordering. The standard C8 Corvette Stingray runs the 6.2L LT2 and takes a different Fabspeed exhaust, so order the version that matches your car.

How do the two modes work?

The system switches between two modes at the press of a button. With the valves closed it is drone-free and quiet enough for conversation, close to the OEM exhaust; with them open it deepens the idle and lets the cast X-pipe wail into a high-pitched race voice that Fabspeed rates above a Ferrari 458. The plug-and-play valves retain the factory valve functionality, and the car runs with no check engine light.

Fabspeed built this valved exhaust for sound, the two drive modes, and a 20-pound weight saving rather than for peak numbers, and it does not publish a specific horsepower figure for the system on its own. For measured dyno gains on the Z06, pair it with the Fabspeed Z06 Sport Cats, which Fabspeed rates at about 28 crank horsepower.

What is the Fabspeed Z06 Valvetronic Exhaust made from?

It is built from 14-to-16-gauge CNC mandrel-bent T304 stainless steel around Fabspeed's signature cast X-pipe, with the valves mounted on CNC-machined plates that resist heat and protect the electronics. Fabspeed laser-scanned the OEM system for an exact bolt-on fit and wrapped the piping in ultra-high-temperature heat wrap. The system weighs 20 pounds less than stock.

Should I choose the valved exhaust or the Supersport X-Pipe?

Choose the Z06 Valvetronic Exhaust if you want two modes on a button, OEM-quiet for daily driving and loud when you want it. Choose the Fabspeed Supersport X-Pipe if you want a fixed, all-out race exhaust that is always loud and lighter, saving 35 pounds. Both use the same cast X-pipe design; the difference is whether you want selectable volume.

It mounts behind the factory emissions hardware, which stays in place, so it does not alter the car's catalytic converters or emissions equipment. The closed-valve mode keeps it quiet and drone-free for daily use, close to the OEM exhaust. Check your local noise and sound-level rules before installing, since those vary by area.

Description

Fabspeed Valvetronic Cat-Back Exhaust System for C8 Chevrolet Corvette Z06

The design process began with 3D scanning the entire OEM exhaust system using a creaform 700 Handscan, enabling the creation of a complete Solidworks 3D model of the exhaust. Utilizing that model, the exhaust and fixtures were designed to ensure a perfect fit to OEM standards. After multiple revisions for sound quality and dyno testing, the decision was made to incorporate their signature cast x-pipe to connect the two cylinder banks for exhaust scavenging and to overcome resonance. The valves are attached to CNC’d plates designed to resist heat and maintain the functionality of the electronics under extreme conditions. The piping is mandrel-bent from T304 stainless steel, and ultra-high temperature heat wrapping is used to minimize engine bay temperatures.

Sound

This incredibly versatile exhaust is able to go from tame cruiser, to thoroughbred race car with the press of a button. With the car set to the loud exhaust mode (valves open), you’ll be treated to a much more authoritative rumble at idle, and our signature x-pipe bringing out the a high pitched wail that exceeds that of the Ferrari 458. With the Z06 set to quite mode (valves closed), it’s totally drone free and you can easily have a conversation in the cabin just like the OEM exhaust.

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, unfortunately our website is unable to compensate dynamically for what can at times be volatile changes in the cost of items due to currency values fluctuating, changes in prices from suppliers, changes in shipping and import duties, and other factors. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. We will continue to do our best to maintain updated prices and we will always continue to offer our price match guarantees as well to ensure our prices are always the best for you. In short, prices may change without notice. It is always advised to give us a call prior to placing your order online to confirm availability and to confirm current pricing.

Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
