Sound

• Listeners are treated to the legendary symphony of the BMW straight-six engine. The exhaust note transforms, adopting a throaty quality that perfectly complements the engine’s 500 horsepower. In the most aggressive M setting, the exhaust resonates with a deep, commanding presence, accentuated by pronounced overrun pops and burbles. The turbochargers become audible when decelerating, adding to the auditory experience. When switched to comfort mode, the system adopts a more subdued demeanor, allowing for unintrusive in-cabin conversations, mirroring the quietness of the original exhaust system.

Power

• The comprehensive Turbo Back Exhaust Package significantly enhances exhaust flow on the G8x models. Testing on an in-house DynoJet revealed substantial gains: an increase of 47ft/lbs of torque at 3,300rpm and 41whp at 6,500rpm, equivalent to 47 crank horsepower. The accompanying dyno graph illustrates that these power gains are distributed evenly across the entire rev range, marking a significant improvement over the stock setup.
