What does this system include, and how is it different from the sport cats alone?

This system combines Fabspeed's HJS 200-cell high-flow sport cats with an investment-cast T304 stainless X-Pipe that replaces the factory H-pipe. The plain Fabspeed Sport Cats for Ferrari 812 upgrade the catalytic converters; this system adds the X-Pipe crossover on top for cleaner scavenging, a fuller voice and a little more weight saving, so it is the more complete step while keeping cats on the car.

Will it trigger a check-engine light?

On US-spec non-OPF 812 Superfast cars, no. The HJS 200-cell tri-metallic cats stay emissions-compliant, so Fabspeed guarantees no catalyst-generated check-engine light on those cars. On other markets, OPF-equipped cars, or the GTS, confirm with us first, as emissions hardware and tolerances differ. It is worth checking your exact car before ordering a system this significant.

Are the Sport Cats and X-Pipe for Ferrari 812 street legal?

The cats are German HJS units certified to EURO 6 in Europe, but they are not CARB-certified in the United States, so they are not for sale or use in California or other states that require CARB certification. Outside those states, check your local rules before fitting. Compliance is the responsibility of the owner, so confirm your state's requirements before you order.

How much power does it add?

Fabspeed's dyno shows gains of 30.2 whp and 31.5 ft-lb at the wheels, lifting peak output from a 661.8 whp baseline to 684.3 whp, roughly 36 hp at the crank. The power comes from the high-flow HJS cats and the enlarged 5-inch piping, while the X-Pipe adds scavenging, balance and sound, so you get the full cat-based power step plus the crossover's voice in one system.

What does it sound like?

It gives the V12 a smooth, ripping F1-inspired note, significantly louder than stock but free of drone thanks to the engine's harmonics and the balanced X-Pipe. The high-flow cats open the top end while the knife-edge X-Pipe cleans up the tone, so the car sounds more vivid and purposeful as it climbs without becoming tiring on a long drive.

What are the Sport Cats and X-Pipe for Ferrari 812 made from?

The sport cats use German-made HJS 200-cell tri-metallic catalytic converters, EURO 6 EC compliant, with enlarged 5-inch (127 mm) engine-side piping, and the X-Pipe is investment-cast from T304 stainless with one-piece CNC mandrel-bent T304L tubing. Fabspeed is HJS Germany's exclusive US importer, so the catalyst hardware is the genuine article, built to flow and to last.

Description

Fabspeed Sport Cats and X-Pipe for Ferrari 812 Superfast and 812 GTS

The sport cats are equipped with HJS 200 cell EURO 6 EC certified compliant tri-metallic catalysts, sourced from Germany. The piping from the engine side to the cat has been enlarged to 5 inches (127mm), significantly enhancing flow compared to the factory design. Unlike an H-pipe, which lacks efficient exhaust gas scavenging and fails to balance the exhaust tone between the two cylinder banks, the investment-cast stainless steel x-pipe has been meticulously designed. Through CAD design, an x-pipe with a knife-edge center has been crafted to seamlessly blend the two cylinder banks, resulting in improved scavenging efficiency and the production of a smooth, powerful V12 sound.

Power

The sport cat and x-pipe exhaust system were developed on their in-house DynoJet. At the wheels, max gains of 30whp and 32ft/lbs were observed. That equates to an increase of 36hp at the crank. Peak horsepower increased from a baseline of 662whp to an impressive 684whp.

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, unfortunately our website is unable to compensate dynamically for what can at times be volatile changes in the cost of items due to currency values fluctuating, changes in prices from suppliers, changes in shipping and import duties, and other factors. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. We will continue to do our best to maintain updated prices and we will always continue to offer our price match guarantees as well to ensure our prices are always the best for you. In short, prices may change without notice. It is always advised to give us a call prior to placing your order online to confirm availability and to confirm current pricing.

Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
