Does the Eventuri MK8 Golf R intake fit the GTI Clubsport and Cupra as well?

Yes. The Eventuri MK8 Golf R intake fits the VW MK8 Golf R and the MK8 GTI Clubsport, and Eventuri lists select MQB Evo applications such as the Cupra 300. All share the 2.0T EA888 Gen4 engine. Confirm your exact model before ordering, since MQB Evo fitment is specified as select applications.

Will this fit my standard MK8 GTI?

This SKU is the Golf R and GTI Clubsport configuration, which uses a different coupler arrangement than the standard GTI. Eventuri distinguishes the two, so a standard MK8 GTI may need the GTI-specific version. Check your car against the fitment list with Bulletproof Automotive before purchasing to avoid ordering the wrong coupler setup.

How much larger is the inlet than stock?

The factory inlet tube measures 73mm. The Eventuri system increases this to a 94mm silicone intake tube feeding a patented carbon Venturi housing with a 94mm outlet. The larger cross-section lets the turbocharger draw a greater volume of air with less restriction, improving throttle response across the rev range on the EA888 Gen4.

Does this intake require a tune?

No. Eventuri designed the system with enough airflow capacity to suit everything from a stock car to aggressively tuned builds on hybrid or full-frame turbochargers, and it retains OEM-level fitment and reliability. A tune is not required to install it, though a supporting tune will help larger turbo setups use the added airflow.

What replacement filter does the VW MK8 Golf R / Clubsport intake use?

It uses one Eventuri filter, part number EVE-W192-FTR in the Type D2 specification. The bespoke dry cone filter measures 192mm and offers more than 110,000 mm² of filtration surface area. It is serviceable, so plan to clean or replace it at regular intervals to keep airflow consistent.

Does the carbon housing help with heat soak?

Yes. The full-width carbon inlet duct seals against the front slam panel, and a secondary opening behind the hood line adds cold air equivalent to a further 7-inch inlet. This dual feed keeps a steady supply of cool ambient air during sustained load, so the sealed carbon system resists the heat soak that affects the factory airbox.

Description

Eventuri Black Carbon Intake System for MK8 VW Golf R and GTI Clubsport

The Eventuri MK8 Golf R intake, sold as the Eventuri VW MK8 Golf R / Clubsport Black Carbon Intake System, is a complete ground-up induction upgrade for the 2.0T EA888 Gen4 platform, engineered to maximize airflow while holding intake air temperatures low. It replaces the entire intake tract from the airbox to the turbo inlet, so no restrictive factory components are left in place, and it carries enough airflow capacity for everything from a stock MK8 Golf R to aggressively tuned builds running hybrid or full-frame turbochargers.

Features

Replaces the full intake tract from airbox to turbo inlet, retaining no restrictive factory parts
Larger inlet path lets the turbocharger draw more air with less effort for stronger throttle response across the rev range
Patented carbon Venturi filter housing maximizes internal filter volume within the tight MK8 engine bay packaging
Full-width sealed carbon duct plus a secondary hood-line feed keeps cold air flowing under sustained load and resists heat soak
Airflow capacity scales from stock cars to hybrid and full-frame turbo builds
OEM-level fitment and reliability
Designed and hand-assembled in the UK

About Eventuri

Eventuri was founded by a team of engineers and enthusiasts with backgrounds in aeronautics and tuning, all sharing a passion for cars and performance. After owning various aftermarket intakes over the years and being disappointed with gains that seldom lived up to their claims, they decided to take things into their own hands and set a new benchmark in intake design and technology. The goal was to engineer systems that provide real, measurable gains and to publish genuine figures to back them up. Their systems are developed using cutting-edge design, testing, and prototyping methods. Each design undergoes CFD analysis and is validated at the prototype stage through volumetric airflow measurement, intake temperature testing, and extensive dynamometer testing. Eventuri publishes all development data to illustrate the full process from concept to finished product. Only the best materials are selected for every component, down to the choice of fasteners, to ensure the quality of the final product is second to none.

Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
