Does the Eventuri E9X M3 airbox lid fit my car?

Yes, if you have a BMW E9X M3 with the S65 V8 engine. That covers the E90 sedan, E92 coupe, and E93 convertible. The lid is a direct replacement for the factory plastic airbox lid and uses all original BMW mounting points and hardware, so no modification is required.

Does this airbox lid add horsepower?

No. The Eventuri E9X M3 airbox lid is a cosmetic and acoustic upgrade. Eventuri deliberately preserved the factory airbox, which BMW co-developed with the Williams Formula 1 team, so the lid refines the induction sound and engine bay appearance rather than changing power output.

What does it actually change?

The carbon lid replaces the plastic factory lid on the same airbox, letting more of the S65's high-revving induction note reach the cabin. Visually it brings a gloss 2x2 twill carbon finish to the engine bay that matches Eventuri intake and plenum parts and the car's factory carbon accents.

Is it hard to install?

No. Installation is straightforward because the lid uses all the original BMW mounting locations and hardware. It is a direct swap for the OEM plastic lid, so it fits the existing airbox without cutting, drilling, or additional brackets, and it can be reversed by refitting the factory lid.

What is it made of and what finish is it?

The Eventuri E9X M3 airbox lid is made from 100% prepreg carbon fiber with a deep gloss clear coat and a signature 2x2 twill weave. The prepreg construction gives it surface clarity, structural consistency, and heat resistance suited to the engine bay environment.

Will the weave match my other Eventuri carbon parts?

Yes. The 2x2 twill weave is chosen to match Eventuri's intake system and optional carbon plenum upgrades, as well as BMW's own factory carbon accents. Fitting the lid alongside those parts gives the S65 engine bay a cohesive, motorsport-inspired carbon look.

Description

Eventuri Gloss Carbon Airbox Lid for E9X BMW M3

The Eventuri E9X M3 airbox lid is a gloss carbon fiber replacement for the factory plastic lid on the S65 V8, engineered to sharpen the induction character of the E9X BMW M3 while leaving BMW M’s celebrated airbox architecture untouched. Built from 100% prepreg carbon fiber in a deep gloss clear coat with a signature 2×2 twill weave, it bolts on using all the original BMW mounting points and hardware.

About Eventuri

Eventuri was founded by a team of engineers and enthusiasts with backgrounds in aeronautics and tuning, all sharing a passion for cars and performance. After owning various aftermarket intakes over the years and being disappointed with gains that seldom lived up to their claims, they decided to take things into their own hands and set a new benchmark in intake design and technology. The goal was to engineer systems that provide real, measurable gains and to publish genuine figures to back them up. Their systems are developed using cutting-edge design, testing, and prototyping methods. Each design undergoes CFD analysis and is validated at the prototype stage through volumetric airflow measurement, intake temperature testing, and extensive dynamometer testing. Eventuri publishes all development data to illustrate the full process from concept to finished product. Only the best materials are selected for every component, down to the choice of fasteners, to ensure the quality of the final product is second to none.

Additional Information

The Bulletproof Automotive website contains many thousands of products purchased in multiple different currencies. All of the prices are entered manually and accurately at the time of entry. Due to the consistently fluctuating international exchange rates, at times prices may not be able to be honored at their original intended rate. Rest assured that any order you place on line will be at zero risk to you in this area. If in the event your order cannot be fulfilled at the original intended website price we will offer you a 100% refund, no questions asked. We will continue to do our best to maintain updated prices and we will always continue to offer our price match guarantees as well to ensure our prices are always the best for you. Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only. BP Pricing Difference

We do pricing a little differently on our JDM brands and we believe in making things simple and clear. No hidden fees or surcharges. Every price you see includes the shipping cost to our office in Los Angeles, California and all the associated taxes/duties/fees for bringing the products into the US. The only shipping you ever pay is from our facility in the US to your location. Be wary of resellers that don’t include the cost of international shipping in their pricing on JDM parts. While we believe we’ll always have the lowest all-in price on JDM products, we offer a price match guarantee for all authentic parts purchased from authorized dealers as well. For many international customers, it’s much more affordable to ship from the USA than from Japan directly, as the air freight and ocean freight costs are typically much less. However, for customers looking to ship directly from Japan outside of North America, or domestically in Japan, we can provide pricing specifically for that scenario. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any pricing questions or concerns. Please email us at sales@bulletproofautomotive.com with any inquiries.
