Eventuri Carbon V2 Intake System

The BMW G20 B48 Eventuri intake is designed to provide the turbo with a less restrictive airflow while maintaining low inlet temperatures. Heat and volume are key considerations when designing an intake for turbocharged engines, and in the G20, the intake system is positioned next to the exhaust manifold, which leads to rapid heat soak. High temperatures negatively affect performance, as the turbo must build boost with heated, less dense air. To combat this, Eventuri designed a fully sealed intake system to keep IATs low, though the stock air feed is limited to just one. During development, Eventuri identified an additional opening in the wheel arch area and incorporated a secondary feed into the airbox. Their sealed airbox also features a gold reflective heat shield to minimize heat transfer from the exhaust manifold. To maximize volume, the airbox is as large as possible, with a recess for potential strut braces. The stock convoluted intake tube is replaced with a smooth, larger carbon tube starting with a 111mm (4.4″) internal diameter that tapers down to match the turbo inlet, providing an unobstructed airflow path. Finally, Eventuri uses a custom high-flow dry filter, ISO tested for filtration, with a larger surface area than the stock filter.

Only the best materials are selected for each component – even down to the choice of fasteners and fixings in order to ensure that the quality of the end product is second to none.
