Eventuri Carbon Turbo Tube for Mercedes-AMG A 250, A 35, CLA 35, GLA 35, and GLB 35 (2023 facelift)

The factory turbo tube on the 2023 hybrid facelift A 35, A 250, CLA 35, GLA 35, and GLB 35 uses a ridged flexible section at the airbox side; that corrugated stretch is a known flow restriction that introduces turbulence before air ever reaches the turbo. The Eventuri Carbon Turbo Tube eliminates that flexible section entirely, replacing it with a solid prepreg carbon fiber tube that runs the full length from intake to turbo inlet. Internal volume is also increased over the OEM piece, giving airflow a less restricted path through the entire assembly. To manage the natural movement of the engine without cracking or binding, Eventuri designed a “floating” tube arrangement that allows the carbon tube to move within the airbox housing rather than fighting it. Where the tube meets the turbo housing, a silicone coupler with an internal thermal separator keeps heat from the metal housing out of the carbon tube. The multiple breather connections at the rear of the tube are handled by a CNC-machined block, which consolidates the connections while maintaining a smooth interior surface so airflow through that section stays clean. The turbo-end profile was developed using CFD analysis to reduce turbulence at the entry point, and every component in the kit is built to the same standard as the carbon tube itself.

Comparison with OEM

  • The OEM tube narrows through the mid-section as it routes past the engine. Eventuri increased the tube’s internal volume to reduce that restriction, and by eliminating the flexible section entirely, airflow through the tube stays more laminar, which lowers the drag load on the turbo. Engine movement is handled at the airbox instead, where an expanding rubber seal absorbs vibration.

Machined Breather Block

  • The breather system uses three attachment points; two of them are complex and demand precise fitment. Eventuri addresses this with a CNC-machined fitment block that allows the breather system to connect exactly as the OEM setup does.

Turbo Coupler

  • The coupler at the turbo connection mirrors the OEM flange geometry, locking into the groove around the turbo housing for a secure, rattle-free fit. Internal steps within the coupler match the wall thicknesses of both the carbon tube and the turbo, so the transition between the two is flush and the flow path stays uninterrupted.
