Eventuri Carbon Intake System for F39 and F40 Chassis BMW 128ti / M135i / M235i / X2

The F40 M135i and F44 M235i Eventuri intake system was developed through extensive real-world testing and airflow simulation analysis. It incorporates Eventuri’s patented Venturi housing system with an integrated Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor section, ensuring the smoothest airflow possible to the turbo inlet tube. The housing encloses a bespoke Generation 2 dry filter, designed to maintain laminar airflow. It seals to a front duct, which has been maximized in volume to minimize any potential flow restrictions. This duct ensures that only ambient air reaches the filter, keeping intake air temperatures (IATs) stable under most driving conditions. The system improves throttle response and allows the turbo to operate with a lower waste-gate duty cycle.

The Eventuri Difference

• The F40 M135i Eventuri system features patented carbon fiber housings with Generation 2 bespoke filters, offering an aerodynamically efficient airflow path from the filter to the turbo. Unlike standard cone filters with heat shields, this system utilizes the Venturi effect to maintain laminar flow conditions, reducing drag on the turbo and improving overall performance.

Filter Housing Assembly

• The filter housing includes a bespoke Generation 2 filter, aluminum inlet cowl, stainless steel bracket, and integrated MAF section. The carbon pod encloses the reverse-mounted filter and smoothly directs airflow into the MAF section, which then connects to the stock inlet tube. Unlike the OEM airbox, where airflow changes direction multiple times, Eventuri’s design provides a more direct flow path. Air enters the front of the filter housing and moves into the MAF section without abrupt changes in direction, creating a smoother path to the turbo inlet. This design reduces drag and allows the turbo to operate more efficiently.

Patented Technology

• Eventuri’s patented filter housing features a smooth reduction in cross-sectional area, tapering down toward the tubing. This design leverages the Venturi effect, accelerating airflow while maintaining laminar conditions, similar to a large velocity stack. The bespoke filters further enhance airflow, ensuring an even velocity profile as air exits the housings.

Carbon Duct

• Eventuri redesigned the duct to maximize internal volume, utilizing the full space over the slam panel while concealing the mounting points. To protect against engine bay heat, the duct includes flexible rubber edging around the opening to the filter housing, ensuring a secure seal while allowing movement with the engine.
