Eventuri Carbon Intake System for 8V Audi RS3 and 8S TTRS

With the 8V RS3 Gen 2 and 8S TTRS platforms being popular choices for high-power builds, Eventuri has developed an innovative intake system capable of supporting builds exceeding 1000whp. This system is designed to provide the highest possible flow rate while maintaining low intake temperatures. Each component ensures smooth, unrestricted airflow to the turbo. The intake tube has a 103mm (just over 4″) internal diameter, featuring a smooth curvature from the filter housing to the turbo inlet. The custom-designed filter has an outer diameter of 210mm (8.3″) and a filtration surface area exceeding 130,000mm². The patented Venturi housing is optimized for the available engine bay space, providing maximum internal volume and laminar flow to the turbo. Additionally, the duct seals the filter opening to the front slam panel and includes an extra opening behind the hood, equivalent to a 7″ diameter hole, further improving airflow. This system is capable of flowing 840 CFM at 28″ H2O while keeping intake temperatures low with its sealed design.

The Eventuri Difference

• The 8V RS3 / TTRS Eventuri system features patented carbon fiber housings that create an aerodynamically efficient airflow path from the filter to the turbo tubing. This is not just another cone filter with a heat shield; it is a unique design that utilizes the Venturi effect to optimize airflow.

Patented Venturi Filter Housing Assembly

• The Stage 3 filter housing includes a bespoke high-flow filter, aluminum cowl, laser-cut brackets, and a carbon pod. The carbon pod encloses the reverse-mounted filter and smoothly directs airflow to the intake tubes. This gradual reduction in cross-sectional area invokes the Venturi effect, accelerating airflow while maintaining laminar conditions, functioning like a large velocity stack.

Bespoke Stage 3 Cone Filter

• To achieve the highest possible flow rate, Eventuri redesigned their Stage 2 filter and increased its size to the maximum that could fit within the RS3 engine bay. The resulting filter has an outer diameter of 210mm (8.3″) and, when flow tested with just the carbon housing, it flows up to 940 CFM at 28″ H2O. The filter medium is ISO tested to meet OEM filtration standards and is also dry. The filter incorporates Eventuri’s signature flow cones to support the Venturi housing effect.

Carbon Intake Duct

• The carbon fiber intake duct channels ambient air from the slam panel area to the filter housing, fitting inside the OEM ducting system and transitioning smoothly to the circular filter housing. To ensure proper sealing against engine bay heat, the duct features flexible rubber edging around the opening that presses against the filter housing, creating a tight seal while allowing movement with the engine. Since this system is designed for high-power builds, Eventuri found that the stock openings in the slam panel could restrict airflow under high demand. To address this, they raised the top surface of the duct and created an additional opening above the slam panel, drawing cold air from behind the hood. This extra opening, equivalent to a 7″ diameter hole, completely removes restrictions from the stock cold air feed. The Stage 3 duct was designed to maximize internal volume within the available engine bay space, ensuring the filter housing draws air with minimal restriction.

Carbon Intake Tube

• The intake tube is constructed from 100% prepreg carbon fiber, providing a smooth internal surface with visible carbon weave. The Stage 3 tube has an internal diameter of 103mm (4″) and features a smooth curvature to minimize pressure drop. It channels airflow from the Venturi housing to the turbo inlet, with its smooth bend geometry maintaining laminar flow from the filters to the exits.

Heat Shield

• Due to the intense heat generated by the turbo, Eventuri designed a heat shield to protect the carbon intake tube. The shield is powder-coated black with a gold reflective layer on the base, which deflects radiant heat from the turbo and catalyst. It also features a stainless steel brace for added rigidity and curves around the back of the tube to deflect convective heat.
• Eventuri offers two separate Stage 3 intake systems: one designed for the DAZA engine and another for the 2019 DWNA engine, which includes an adapter and a custom breather hose for proper fitment.
