Eventuri Carbon Intake for F56 Mini Cooper and Clubman S / JCW [EVE-F56-LCI-CF-INT/EVE-F56-CF-INT]

Eventuri’s F56 MINI intake system exemplifies its Complete System principle. The fully sealed architecture prevents the turbo from ingesting engine-bay heat, while a functional bonnet scoop actively feeds ambient air into a higher-volume intake duct that also draws from the OEM location above the radiator. This sealed, scoop-fed design lowers intake temperatures versus the stock air box and mitigates heat soak especially on higher-powered MINIs. For the smoothest airflow to the turbo, Eventuri employs its Patented filter housing paired with a CNC-machined MAF tube.

INTAKE HOUSING ASSEMBLY

  • Eventuri’s filter-housing assembly integrates a bespoke Gen 2 reverse-mounted filter, an aluminum inlet cowl, a CNC-machined MAF tube, and a carbon or plastic pod. The pod shrouds the filter and transitions with a smooth reduction in cross-section, invoking the Venturi effect to accelerate airflow while maintaining laminar conditions functionally acting like a large velocity stack. Eventuri’s custom filters further stabilize the airstream, promoting an even velocity profile at the housing exit. The CNC-machined MAF tube is built to tight tolerances so the sensor operates within OEM parameters, preventing warning codes. Because the tube sits near the exhaust manifold, it’s insulated with a neoprene wrap to mitigate heat soak. Additional technical details are available on the Technology and Filters pages.

CARBON INTAKE SCOOP

  • Eventuri notes that the OEM intake draws air from behind the front grille above the radiator, where small apertures can promote heat soak especially on tuned MINIs. Since the factory bonnet scoop does not feed the intake directly, and the bonnet already includes two cut-outs beneath it, Eventuri redeveloped the scoop as a direct-replacement component that installs using the OEM fasteners. Two internal inlet ramps channel external air through the existing cut-outs into the intake duct, increasing ram effect with vehicle speed to minimize inlet temperatures and mitigate heat soak. The profile is refined with an extended upper surface for a more assertive look. Crafted from 100% pre-preg carbon fiber with a V-shaped split weave, the scoop delivers a symmetrical aesthetic that suits its central bonnet placement.

INLET DUCT

  • Eventuri observes that the factory duct draws solely from behind the front grille and sits shallow over the slam panel. The redesigned Eventuri duct accepts airflow from both the grille and the bonnet scoop and features a substantially larger internal volume to reduce restriction. To protect against engine-bay heat, a flexible rubber edging seals the duct to the bonnet underside when closed, while an expandable rubber edging at the filter-housing interface ensures a secure seal and accommodates engine movement.

Performance

  • Eventuri evaluated the F56 system on both a Cooper S and a JCW, testing each car back-to-back on the same day with the hood closed and temperatures monitored for consistency. On the Cooper S (stage 1 remap for both configurations), simply replacing the stock air box with the Eventuri intake delivered peak gains of 8hp and 11ft-lb, with stronger mid-range improvements of 15hp and 25 ft-lb across the rev band. The stage 2 JCW (remap and downpipe, identical for both configurations) recorded 15hp at peak and substantially higher mid-range gains of 27hp and 26ft-lb. These figures reflect only the intake change; all other modifications were constant. On the road, the results translate to crisper part- and full-throttle response and a more eager pull to redline, confirmed over multiple runs with both setups.

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer.
