Eventuri’s updated intake system for the E6X M5 / M6 maintains the performance enhancements of its predecessor while benefiting from years of accumulated experience to achieve a more cohesive design. The integration of the MAF tube into the carbon housing and the replacement of OEM flexible hoses with custom-made shorter versions have resulted in a system with a streamlined aesthetic. This intake system is engineered to positively influence the entire driving experience. Leveraging aerodynamic principles and utilizing computational fluid dynamics to refine airflow, Eventuri has developed an intake system that excels in multiple areas – offering improved throttle response, increased torque and power, enhanced drivability, and, notably, the captivating sound of the V10 induction.

Patented Filter Housings

• Eventuri’s E60 M5 V2 Filter Housings leverage patented Venturi technology while incorporating the MAF tube section to create an uninterrupted flow path. The carbon housings encase the reverse-mounted filters, guiding airflow smoothly towards the MAF tubes, where the volume is methodically reduced. This gradual decrease in cross-sectional area triggers the Venturi effect, accelerating the airflow while maintaining smooth, laminar conditions. This concept functions similarly to a large velocity stack, with diagrams available for comparison between Eventuri’s patented design and conventional intake systems on the Technology page.

Bespoke Cone Filter

• Eventuri selected a filter for the E60 M5 system that strikes an optimal balance between filtration area and the total volume of the filter housing. By choosing a shorter cone, Eventuri was able to refine the housing shape for improved airflow towards the MAF tubes, while still providing ample filtration area to meet the CFM demands. The filter medium undergoes ISO testing to ensure compliance with OEM standards for filtration and is designed to be dry. The filter features Eventuri’s distinctive flow cones to complement the Venturi housing principle.

EPDM Couplers

• To extend the housings closer to the plenum, Eventuri replaced the OEM flexible hose with their own variant to preserve flexibility. Their EPDM couplers are internally contoured like the OEM versions to ensure a seamless transition between the housings and the plenum.

Air Scoops

• Eventuri’s air scoops are precision-cut from aluminum and powder-coated for durability. There are two scoops placed behind the front nose grills and another two positioned in the lower brake ducts. The front scoops are designed to smoothly channel ambient air into the existing ducting, displacing heated air from the intake region. The lower scoops aim to direct ambient air straight into the intake openings.

Heat Shields

• Eventuri utilizes two aluminum heat shields lined with neoprene. Positioned on the engine side of each intake, they effectively repel hot air emanating from the radiator, particularly when the cooling fan activates.
