Eventuri develops the X3 M40i intake to deliver a less restrictive airflow path while maintaining low inlet temperatures. Given the intake’s proximity to the exhaust manifold on the M40i, under-hood heat can rise quickly and elevate IATs; Eventuri counters this with a fully sealed air box that prevents the turbo from ingesting hot engine-bay air. The air box integrates a gold-lined heat shield to limit radiative heat transfer from the manifold and is maximized in volume with a dedicated recess for the strut brace to increase available airflow. Replacing the factory convoluted tube, a pre-preg carbon intake tube with a 109mm internal diameter tapers smoothly to the turbo inlet for an uninterrupted flow path. A custom high-flow dry filter, validated to ISO filtration standards and offering a larger surface area than stock, completes the system for consistent, low-restriction performance.

Carbon Fiber Airbox

Eventuri constructs the air box from pre-preg carbon fiber to fully shield the filter from engine-bay heat. Positioned beside the exhaust manifold, the air box encapsulates the filter while maintaining a generous internal volume. A laser-cut plate with an integrated rubber sealing strip secures to the air box, allowing the intake tube to pass through while preventing heated air from entering. To further mitigate heat soak, an additional heat shield on the manifold side finished with a gold reflective layer reduces radiant heat transfer.

Carbon Inlet Tube

Eventuri replaces the OEM flexible, convoluted inlet with a smooth, larger-volume carbon tube to eliminate turbulence and stabilize flow. Maximized for capacity, the design increases internal diameter from the factory 80.8mm to 109mm an 82% gain in cross-sectional area then tapers seamlessly to the stock turbo inlet to preserve laminar conditions. Precision CNC-machined provisions for the temperature sensor and breather adapter ensure an exact, OE-quality integration.

Bespoke Cone Filter

Eventuri’s cone filter uses a double-layer, non-woven mesh that is ISO-tested to meet OEM-level filtration. Built on a heat-stable urethane base, the cleanable element integrates an internal flow-guiding cone to converge airflow and avoid central stagnation, while its increased media surface area surpasses the stock panel filter for sustained, efficient breathing.

Shipping Policy

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest.
