The F10 M5 intake system was developed through extensive dyno testing, velocity testing, and flow optimization. Eventuri designed a comprehensive system, including front air ducts, filter housings, and inlet tubes leading to the turbos. This system provides an efficient and smooth airflow path, reducing resistance to the turbos and enhancing performance. Each component of the Eventuri F10 M5 intake system is meticulously engineered for a specific function and fabricated to the highest standards.

The Eventuri Difference

• The F10 M5 Eventuri system features their patent-pending carbon fiber housing, designed to create an aerodynamically efficient airflow path from the filter to the MAF tube. This is not just a typical cone filter with a heat shield, but a unique design that utilizes the Venturi effect for optimal performance.

Carbon Intake Housing Assemblies

• The filter housings consist of high-flow filters, aluminum cowls, and carbon pods. The carbon pods enclose the reverse-mounted filters and smoothly direct the airflow toward the intake tubes. The gradual reduction in cross-sectional area invokes the Venturi effect, accelerating airflow while maintaining laminar flow conditions. This design functions similarly to a large velocity stack.

Carbon Intake Tubes

• Eventuri’s intake tubes are crafted from 100% prepreg carbon fiber. Each tube features an integrated CNC-machined aluminum MAF sensor mount. The tubes provide a smooth connection between the filter housings and turbo inlets, replacing the stock corrugated flexi-tubes, which disrupt airflow. Eventuri ensured that the carbon tubes maintain a true circular cross-section, even at the MAF sensor, to optimize flow characteristics.

Carbon Fiber Air Scoops

• The scoops are designed for maximum efficiency in channeling incoming air to the stock duct openings. Unlike many aftermarket scoops, which feature a large flat surface that sits nearly perpendicular to the airflow—causing turbulence—the Eventuri scoops are specifically shaped to guide air smoothly into the ducts, reducing disruption and improving airflow.
• Unlike most aftermarket “scoops,” the Eventuri scoops are designed to extend from the stock duct openings all the way to the grilles. To capture the maximum amount of air, they are contoured to match the shape of the outer edges of the grilles and smoothly channel ambient air through a continuous curve to the duct openings, ensuring efficient airflow.
• An effective cold air feed to the filters is a crucial aspect of Eventuri’s design. Heat shields alone are not sufficient to prevent heated air from entering the filters unless they create a completely airtight seal around them. The system’s scoops and shields work together to deliver ambient air to the filter openings, ensuring low intake air temperatures and optimal performance.

Shields / Flow Deflectors

• The filter housings are positioned with their openings nestled within the flow deflectors. These deflectors capture the cold air channeled from the front scoops and help to displace hot air surrounding the filter openings, ensuring optimal airflow and temperature control.
