The Eventuri Difference

• The E46 M3 Eventuri system features Eventuri’s patent-pending carbon fiber housing, which creates an aerodynamically efficient airflow path from the filter to the MAF tube. This is not just a standard cone filter with a heat shield, but a unique design that utilizes the Venturi effect to enhance airflow.
• Crafted from 100% prepreg carbon fiber, the housing is of the highest quality, providing superior workmanship. It encapsulates the filter and is paired with an anodized aluminum inlet cowl to ensure a smooth inlet flow. The filter is a deep pleated, high-flow double cone configuration, designed to be dry to protect the MAF sensor. The entire assembly is mounted with an aluminum heat shield, effectively shielding the intake from engine bay heat while capturing ambient air from the scoop. Small details, such as the rubber spacer on the heat shield mount, allow the headlight module to sit at the correct height, underscoring the attention to detail in this system.

Carbon Air Scoop

• The air scoop is made from 100% prepreg carbon fiber and features a CNC machined collar. It directs ambient air directly into the filter opening and clicks into place in the front right brake duct, saturating the intake with cold air. The scoop is designed to occupy only half the duct’s height, ensuring airflow continues to the brakes. Its effectiveness is evident, as even after intense driving, the aluminum cowl at the intake mouth remains cool to the touch.

MAF Tube

• CNC machined from aluminum and anodized, the MAF tube is designed to minimize heat transfer. The MAF boss is made from engineering plastic, reducing heat soak through conduction. A machined recess allows the OEM rubber gasket from the stock airbox to be used, ensuring a perfect seal into the stock elbow.

Heat Shields

• The system includes three aluminum heat shields. The main shield is part of the intake assembly, while an extension shield attaches to block hot air from the radiator. A third shield secures to the chassis beneath the carbon housing, minimizing heat soak from the engine block. Neoprene insulation on the main shield ensures optimal performance by keeping inlet air temperatures as low as possible.
