The BMW E39 M5 Eventuri intake is designed as a complete upgrade solution for the stock airbox system. The goal was to create an intake system for the S62 engine that works seamlessly with the stock ECU map and MAF sensors while delivering a genuine improvement in driving performance. Eventuri’s patented Venturi housing ensures that airflow remains as laminar as possible. Additionally, the integration of true cold air feeds through scoops connected to the front fog lamps helps maintain the lowest possible inlet air temperatures, resulting in an optimized intake system that consistently delivers noticeable performance gains.

The Eventuri Difference

• The E39 M5 Eventuri intake system features patented carbon fiber housings and bespoke Gen-2 filters, designed to create an aerodynamically efficient airflow path from the filter to the inlet tubes. This is not simply a cone filter with a heat shield; it uses the Venturi effect to optimize airflow and performance.

Carbon Intake Housing Assemblies

• The filter housings consist of high-flow filters, aluminum cowls, and carbon pods. The carbon pods enclose the reverse-mounted filter, shaping airflow smoothly toward the MAF tubes. This design reduces the cross-sectional area, invoking the Venturi effect, where airflow accelerates while maintaining laminar conditions. It functions like a large velocity stack, ensuring an even velocity profile as airflow exits the housings.

Foglamp Ducts

• To supply cold air to the intakes, Eventuri designed replacement foglamp surrounds with integrated ducts. These surrounds maximize the area for cold air entry and transition to flexible neoprene ducting tubes. While the vehicle is in motion, ambient air is forced into the ducts, which transfer the air through the neoprene tubes directly to the intakes. This design prevents heat soak, allowing the engine to draw in cooler, ambient air for improved performance.
