Eventuri’s Audi C8 RS6 intake is the result of extensive development, testing, and prototyping, engineered around two core objectives, higher flow rate and smoother airflow. To overcome the limited under-hood space, the airbox was completely redesigned to maximize internal volume, enlarge the entry apertures, and set a more favorable filter angle to the turbos; the turbo inlets themselves were expanded by up to 85% in cross-sectional area at the openings. An organically contoured architecture paired with a custom rounded panel filter removes sharp transitions to preserve laminar flow from the airbox through to the inlets, reducing turbulence so the turbos operate more efficiently. In partnership with BMC, a bespoke filter element delivers the largest practical filtration area while maintaining clean airflow. The result is crisper throttle response and significant, independently tested power gains that scale with higher states of tune performance delivered by the complete, integrated system from base and lid to the enlarged inlets.

LOWER AIRBOX

• Eventuri fully reengineers the airbox system, including a new base for the filter. By integrating the slam panel with the lower airbox and expanding this chamber, the design increases total airflow capacity. The base positions the filter at a more favorable angle to the turbo inlets, replacing the stock 90-degree turn with a gentler transition to create a smoother, less restrictive flow path.

AIRBOX LID

• Eventuri prototypes four lid configurations during development and, through testing, selects the V2 design for peak performance. Optimized via CFD, the V2 lid delivers a smooth, continuous flow path from the filter to the inlets, increases internal volume over the OEM lid, and replaces boxy geometries with organically contoured surfaces. The openings to the turbo inlets are also substantially enlarged to further reduce restriction.

TURBO INLETS

• Eventuri enlarges the airbox-side inlets by up to 85% over stock and profiles them to taper smoothly toward the factory turbochargers, reducing drag so the turbos operate more efficiently. CNC-machined bushes and reinforcement rings are integrated for structural rigidity, and bespoke inlet variants are available on request to suit hybrid turbo diameters.

BESPOKE BMC FILTER

• Eventuri develops a bespoke panel filter in collaboration with BMC, tailored specifically to the redesigned airbox. The washable, four-layer cotton mesh element delivers superior filtration with low pressure drop, supporting a de-restricted flow path that helps the turbos achieve target boost sooner and produce more power earlier in the rev range. When paired with elevated boost targets in a calibrated tune, the airbox maintains the necessary airflow headroom for the turbos to reach higher pressures efficiently.
