Eventuri Black Carbon Intake System for B9 Audi S4 & S5

Eventuri’s Audi B9 S4 / S5 intake is engineered to reduce restriction to the turbo while preserving low inlet temperatures. Because the S4 / S5 engine bay heat-soaks rapidly, Eventuri redesigned the entire inlet path from the turbo inlet to the front grille into a highly efficient sealed system. The restrictive OEM air box and flexible plastic inlet are replaced by a Venturi filter housing and smoothly transitioning ductwork. Eliminating the convoluted stock tube in favor of a one-piece Venturi housing and rigid inlet results in a far smoother airstream into the turbo. The outcome is industry-leading performance and aesthetics for the platform.

Carbon Intake Housing Assembly

• Eventuri’s filter-housing assembly integrates a bespoke Gen 2 reverse-mounted filter, a carbon pod, and an integrated outlet tube matched in diameter to the factory turbo tube. By extending the housing and tube directly to the stock turbo connection and mounting to the engine, the design eliminates the need for a convoluted rubber hose; as the engine moves under load, the housing moves with it while an expanding rubber extrusion at the duct face maintains an airtight seal. The pod’s smooth, tapering cross-section invokes the Venturi effect accelerating airflow while preserving laminar conditions functioning like a large velocity stack. Carbon Fiber Intake Duct

• Eventuri’s duct channels ambient air from the scoop into the filter housing and establishes a sealed plenum of cool air ahead of the element for immediate supply. Maximizing the available engine-bay volume, the duct employs flexible rubber edging at its interfaces to the housing and OEM front duct, maintaining an airtight seal against engine-bay heat while allowing the assembly to move with the engine. To further enhance flow, a secondary rear opening draws from a cold region of the bay. This geometrically complex component is a core element of the B9 S4 / S5 intake design.

Carbon Fiber Air Scoop

• Eventuri identifies the front carbon scoop as essential for directing ambient air into the duct and onward to the filter. Designed with a constant bend radius for maximum efficiency, the scoop guides incoming flow cleanly to the duct opening, helping minimize inlet temperatures and accelerating IAT recovery after heat soak during standstill.

Custom Bracket Work

• Eventuri devotes significant development to application-specific mounting hardware. For the B9 S4 / S5 system, laser-cut stainless-steel brackets are powder-coated for durability, then paired with CNC-machined mounts that locate into the factory rubber grommets used by the OEM air box delivering an OEM-level fit. Together, these components elevate the driving experience and present a cohesive display of form and function within the engine bay.

Performance

• Eventuri validated the B9 S4 / S5 intake with same-day VBOX testing on the same road, recording 60–130 mph and 100–200km/h acceleration. With only the intake added, 60–130 mph dropped from 14.72 s (stock) to 14.24s (Eventuri), and 100–200km/h improved from 12.45s to 12.12s, nearly half a second quicker at high speed. These road results underscore gains that exceed static dyno indications under real flow conditions. The advantages derive from three factors: a fully sealed system and front scoop that keep IATs low; a Venturi housing that transitions smoothly from filter to tube without a convoluted rubber section, preserving laminar flow for turbo efficiency; and construction from pure pre-preg carbon fiber, which insulates effectively against heat.
