Each turbo receives its own dedicated high-flow filter and Venturi stack to reduce drag and improve efficiency, while a fully enclosed carbon airbox—fed by an auxiliary scoop behind the front grille—delivers a consistent cold-air supply. Given the bay’s multiple heat sources, the enclosure maximizes available volume and blocks heat ingress from every direction, avoiding the elevated IATs typical of open-filter / shield setups. The result is industry-leading performance and aesthetics tailored for the C7 RS6 / RS7.

  • Eventuri designs the enclosure to maximize the available volume once the OEM airbox is removed while shielding the filters from multiple engine-bay heat sources. Beyond the engine and turbo assemblies, a heat exchanger beneath the headlamp radiates significant heat, and when the radiator fan activates, a stream of hot air is directed into the intake area from beneath the duct. These conditions necessitate a fully enclosed airbox—something a simple cone-and-shield setup cannot match. During development, testing with dual open filters and heat shielding resulted in markedly higher inlet temperatures and reduced power. The sealed airbox mitigates these effects and interfaces with a carbon duct that supplies the enclosure with cold air.

Carbon Venturi Tubes

  • Eventuri connects the dual-cone filters to the factory turbo pipes via a pair of smoothly contoured tubes, each incorporating a Venturi stack matched to the filter neck’s inner diameter. This geometry preserves laminar flow as air transitions from the filter into the tubing—critical at higher rpm when the turbos draw air at high velocity. The result is an aerodynamically efficient path from filters to turbos that enables quicker boost generation with reduced lag, translating on the road to sharper, more eager throttle response.

Flow Simulation

  • Eventuri incorporates CFD analysis throughout development to validate initial concepts and refine each intake for the smoothest possible airflow. Single-tube simulations confirm the expected rise in air velocity from filter to outlet as cross-section decreases, while the integrated Venturi stack enables a clean, laminar transition from the filter into the tube. Full airbox simulations demonstrate stable, saturated flow from both intake openings and show each tube feeding its respective turbo with laminar airflow in line with the Venturi design intent.

Carbon Air Duct / Air Scoop

  • Eventuri positions the air scoop behind the front grille to force ambient air into the duct, with a curved profile that guides flow efficiently at speed. This design rapidly lowers airbox temperatures after heat soak when the vehicle has been stationary. Complementing the scoop, Eventuri’s enlarged inlet duct increases internal volume and channels fresh air from the grille to the airbox enclosure, keeping inlet temperatures as low as possible.

Heat Shield

  • Eventuri completes the system with a laser-cut heat shield lined in gold reflective material to protect the airbox face from direct turbo heat. Because the airbox sits in line with the engine’s upper section where the turbos reside, thermal load rises rapidly at operating temperature and under boost. The shield establishes a robust thermal barrier between the turbo area and the carbon enclosure to preserve low inlet temperatures. Validation includes thermal imaging captured after multiple closed-hood dyno pulls, highlighting the temperature differential between the hot side of the engine and the airbox enclosure.
